3 large bags to CS - bin bag size. :)
Going to empty contents of office into LR now as I am home alone tonight. I reckon 5 hours going at it should shift quite a lot of junk out of the house - log burner is lit to deal with all the combustible stuff. happy Saturday night in ;)

Not meaning to sound like an alcoholic but I am really missing my glass of wine in front of the TV. Dd1 has gone to a friends party at a local WMC and will need collecting later. I would happily walk but she is one of these people who would have a lift to the bottom of the block if she could. It makes me laugh that she actually is very sporty but ask her to walk somewhere and her face crumples!

Anyway, while she is gone I am in kondoe mode using up craft bits in my drawers. I have now got one free one and will move the 'silly' dressing up things into it. I have hung the outfits on the door ready for either eBay or car boot. Bat girl has a bid on eBay and along with my first fifty CDs will be going to a new home.
Don’t put it down - put it away!

Ok, I feel less like death! GQ I will now check to see if switching round any drawers will help, gotta be worth a shot.

I have caught up to yesterday in the mins game. While its its motivational rather than proscriptive(sp?) - its helping get me to do things despite a pretty dire week healthwise. I'm currently on steroids to stop me having an allergic reaction to every up to and including the air (inside and outside) and every type of food I can think of. Fun.

    So, mins game,

Day 3 - hairbrush, painted red tin, black top

Day 4 - business card from hols, jewellery gift box, reticule, length of string

Day 5 - ball of wool from stash to friend, tiny mirror, condoms (flavoured ICK), 2 paper candle holders, old cat meds

Day 6 - incense box, coin purse, old phones x2, events list for the local stadium, old charging cable (I had a spare, why was I using a frayed cable??), random electronic 'bit'

Day 7 - lumber pillw, application form, night cream, hair chalk (to friend who uses chalk), acne gel OOD, cervical pig vertabra (was an archaeologist), sewing machine ornament that was a pressie - tough but need the clear space more!

Day 8 - condesnsed 2 tubs of snacks into one, packaging from post, business card for corsetierre, old sticky back plastic (have nicer new stuff), insole box (once I ordered more), a half made pressie and book to finally go to my friend!, rune stones (accumulated from someone who finds them triggering, will scatter in the stones outside)

Day 9 - Agatha Christie books x 9 (from someone who got them at a CS, wanted to sell them, ended up with me so I'll put them to a diff CS!)

Day 10 - another 2 books from above.

Now to find another 8 things for today. This is getting pretty damn hard already.

ETA: that looks a really bizarre list now its in print on a screen

  • Catching up on a few days, work has been really busy so I ignore the computer when I get home!

    Day 8:
    nail brush binned
    foundation finished
    empty cheque book binned
    magazine recycled
    lipgloss binned
2 x books to charity shop
    receipts recycled

Day 9, AKA a really bad day:
9 pens bit the dust! I kept plenty more for later in the month.

    Day 10:
4 x red and black small bowls to charity shop
    2 x magazine recycled
    moisturiser finished
    book to charity shop
    Melin Tregwynt catalogue recycled
    handful of receipts recycled

It's definitely getting harder. I'm not sure if that's just because I'm a bit less bothered after work. We'll see.

  • The DM website has a different editing team to the printed copy. I infinitely prefer the online editing.

I've found my 10 for today :D Will be busy tomorrow, may I should keep going while I'm on a roll..

Day 10 - 2x Christie books, blood type pin, tiny silver beads for braiding to scrap silver box, hair clip back to friend, ditto book I cant manage to read atm, crochet pattern card, soft phone case I made years ago, one of my books for CS.

Log burner full. One box of stuff to go to CS one on Fr**gle and one to work :) Will box up all of OH's computer stuff - heaven only knows what it all is but I am sure we dont need it and/or its obsolete now. Can now see floor on office rather than just a pathway through the boxes:)

  • I've just bought a new-to-me sewing machine, sold by a friend of my sister. I commented that I'd now be looking for a new home for my old machine. The new one does everything the old one did plus lots of other things.

'Don't be in a hurry to get rid of the old one' my sister said, 'I'd hang onto it if I were you'. Why? Silence - she couldn't come up with a reason. Then she said weakly 'Just in case'. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thing is, until a few months ago I'd have done just that. How this process has changed me.

    Good morning everyone,

    Mins game days 10&11:

    1. Nail varnish remover for gel nails - never used, binned.
    2. Old iPhone - sent away for recycling
    3. Handbag - given away
    4. Packet of nappies - too small for DS, donated to food bank
5-10. 6 baby bottles also donated to food bank, not needed as I'm breastfeeding

    Day 11:
1-11 - greetings cards given away to mum who will use them. I have a huge stash of cards so had a clearout. Might use more later in the month when I'm struggling!

    Happy Sunday all xx
