Ugh! What a day!
Got back from PO, and cafe, where I dropped off the books, and found a letter...
an appointment for 'a meeting with the Multi-Disciplinary Team', who do the eye op that I preferred! So much for the 51 week waiting list!
Actually, it's the Dermatology Dept that do this, not Ophthalmology. Phew!
So I've spent the afternoon on the telephone. Two numbers from the GP surgery to arrange transport for the 160 mile round trip to UHW - both incorrect. Thought I wouldn't qualify, but it's booked for a week on Wednesday.
Apparently, I will be meeting 'a team of doctors and nurses to discuss my case and subsequent care'. The team will review this and then 'invite me back within 24 hours to discuss the outcome of the review'.:D
Delighted you got your appointment much sooner than expected!0 -
I queen glad your appt has come through sooner than you thought.
Shanks nice to see you posting, you are welcome to continue doing so.

Morning all.
Still feeling a bit rough but going into work. I have a sit-down job and hopefully will be able to make it through my shift.
In accordance with taking it easy, I am cheating slightly on minsgame by including my recycling, which I shall drop into the communal bins on my way to work:
6th October – 3 rusty & bent tent pegs (metal recycling), 3 items into household recycling (plastic bottles & can).
I managed to do a wee bit of knitting yesterday and am half-way through turning a small ball of yarn into a component of the blanket. It's all good.
Have a super day, one and all, even if the weather isn't looking fabulous.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Morning everyone! :coffee:
Dunno why, I had a carp night last night - woke at 3 and didn't sleep again, so been up since 6:15. :rotfl:
Thanks for your support, Konverts! Good wishes to all those who are suffering, or in part of the country where it's miserable and wet - like mav and I are!
Just got my first mins for today:
1 cheap tennis racket that has died in storage.
Thanks for the link missyrichards - very good reading last night! I can support what she said. I kept a ledger of every penny I spent from Nov 2007 till last year. It was great discipline. Now, careful spending is second nature.
Until a few years ago, I would keep the family on £10 per week, for a month, each year - good practice for a financial emergency and it kept us grounded.
Financial discipline has helped free me of worry for the first time in my adult life. I've even managed to get 3 months' income saved for living expenses and another third for emergencies. (On P Credit, so not a large amount, but still, the peace of mind is wonderful.)
Anyway, bad night or not, I'm in 'skip mode' today - just sick of all this Stuff! Oh, for the days when I was first married, in the mid 60s, - 3 saucepans, one pyrex bowl and a rolling pin! When we moved from one bedsit to another, everything we owned went into 1 suitcase and 3 cardboard boxes! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:But we were happy and never yearned for anything!
I'm off to sort out another 5 items for mins. :dance:Needs, NOT wants!
No food waste since November 2010. :j

Hi all,
Mins game day 6 and 7 (while I have the chance)
1. Random hairdryer nozzle
2, 3 & 4. Non joyful mugs to charity bag
5. Vegetable chopper machine to charity shop - a gift that was never used
6. A paper bag from a designer shop I love. Why I was keeping it I don't know, but lifted it yesterday and it was covered in cobwebs. Now in the recycling.
Day7
1. Baby blanket to charity shop
2 & 3. Tops I bought in n3xt sale returned to shop
4. Fitted sheet also returned to shop, as quality was terrible.
5. Pair of shoes to charity bag
6. Packet of pencils to charity bag
7. Hot water bottle - given to DH for his camping supplies.
We also have a miserable day here (just outside glasgow), but will have to go out later as I'm going to a funeral and then to baby yoga...yes you heard me right...baby yoga. I reckon this type of thing is just a gimmick, it's not exactly yoga for babies, but it is a good way to meet other new mums, maternity leave would be quite lonely without it!
I'm off to start looking for items for day 8, i have a feeling I will be struggling towards the end of the month, so if I can get ahead just now I will!
Hugs to anyone who needs them, Weesmiler xxxAll you need is less0 -
Weesmiler Baby Yoga :rotfl:I do think I maybe able to beat that on this horrible wet day. I am just back from
Dog Physiotherapy  Yep you heard that right too. He has been going for a few months as he has a bad shoulder and neck. Yes it is improving so am pleased. He goes every other week and in between he goes to Canine Hydrotherapy yep you heard that right too.:rotfl:So I have a full diary running the dog around its as bad as when my son was a teenager running him everywhere.
Now going to start searching for Mins game
