Morning from the wild and windy north west!
Yesterday I revisited shoes and threw another 5 pairs away, also did dhs too and got rid of 3 pairs plus 3 pr of slippers! none were worn out but he bought himself new pr! Unlike myself who bagged a pr in the sale last week for the ones that were hanging off my feet! # love my slippers :rotfl:
Tried to go through photos, after reading on here someone threw away blurry and duplicates, but didn't get far! Started crying over pictures of mum and dad so had to stop.
Did go in kitchen cupboard with another mushroom punnet to put food colours in and found ood sugar strands x 2  and cocoa powder used for baking, which I replenished as ddg loves choc cakes.:D
I am off work this week so will try to clear a couple more things.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0 -
Morning all!
You all sound joyfully busy.
I've just kondoed some routine admin and am off to the PO to do my banking and mailing. I shall be taking another BFL full of books to unload as well, including the latest additions.
I have started kondoing a ball of yarn into a newborn dress for GD1, which should be quite quick.
Will do my Day 5 mins, when I get back. I'm hoping to dig out more substantial items today.
So far as lasagne is concerned: I like it, but have resisted buying the sheets. So lasagne has never got further than a fleeting thought of 'home-made pasta'! I adore mousaka, but even that is a faff, so a very rare treat! :rotfl:
See you all later. :dance:Needs, NOT wants!
No food waste since November 2010. :j

I have some plastic liner which I've had for years, think it was L-land but it's at least 12 years old, it's great as you can wash it. I use wallpaper lining on the others. Makes it such a doddle to clean cupboards out especially if you're moving.
The Lakeland variety must be thicker/better quality than the Ikea plastic lining that I've got. Mine's great in small cupboards that hold sauces/vinegars/oils as they seem to hold it down flat. The cupboard I've used the card in has pots& pans and baskets of root veg and always curled up on the edges with the plastic liner. Totally agree with how easy it is to clean after lining so I'm committed too:).
Still got magazines and sideboard on my list before I add anything else. Main task today will be deciding what I want to pack for our short break so may/may not get round to any kondoing.0 -
One magazine in the bin. Well, it's a start;).
Definitely.
See, now you are all Mins game - ing, I am feeling left out.....
No need to feel left out, you'll be with us in spirit as we focus on finding things to remove from our homes. The timing for me is good because I had stalled and am hanging onto papers just because I think I will refer to them in the future. Got rid of all the easy ones when I first started the paperwork section so now it's all the ones I have an attachment to. Being forced to be accountable to get rid is good for me. So a big thank you for starting the game as it's making a difference to my mind set, and I am starting to think about more clothes that can go too.
No chance that I will find anything as interesting as the train - just boring old bits of paper and hopefully some items from other categories.
Tibawo, been thinking of you. Hope the piles are shrinking and stuff is heading out the door.
