Today I Kondoed part of one of our bookshelves and have managed to half fill the blue bin. While in the study I also discovered a few things which will either do as presents or I might try to Ebay them.
I love that feeling of being more organised and having less rubbish in our home!!0 -
(1) Three years ago, I bought some new table mats. My table is in the kitchen, it gets used for everything from sewing to potting plants so is usually covered with heatproof stuff and a vinyl cloth, but I thought it would be fun to have bare wood for Christmas. i put them in the drawer of the aforementioned display cabinet - and it promptly jammed shut. I've just retrieved them by brute force, the cabinet needed some restoration work anyway but it needs a bit more now! I'm really wondering if I need them after three years. They are a very joyous red, though.
(2) I have 'done' candles. I have 104 tea lights. Good grief.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0 -
I've been rummaging in some random corners and have pulled out some small but rather odd things to add to minsgame over the next few days. I'm sure there's more weirdness lurking somewhere.
My ambition for this life is not to end up worthy of inclusion in one of those hoarding programmes.............:rotfl:
You're gonna laugh your socks off at some of the things I've got lined up to leave. I would like to state that I am considered to be a sane and sensible person, if a trifle staid, by those who meet me IRL............ but you'll know differently, mwah ha ha!Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Everyone is doing so well with the mins game! :j
Adding to the old tennis racket, of this morning (which will be burned):
1 toy plastic chicken (mav!) that used to 'lay eggs', but all the balls were lost years ago!
1 old toiletry bag with broken zip. (It lasted me over 30 years, but why did I keep it, after replacing it a couple of years ago?) Also a bic razor that was inside it.
1 Scarlet hair colour. I don't think so, now I'm greying fast!)
1 Extrovert styling steel hair gel - unused since 2005.
1 Strong moulding hair wax - ditto.
All followed a Mr M pack of 4 cubes of fresh yeast, which had died in storage, into the bin.
Love the dog and baby activities!
Reminds me of my daughter and her partner, when they took my colicky GS1 to an osteopath... " he laid him on his tummy and massaged his back." I didn't ask how much it cost. Never thought to ask me about colic! But, of course, babies didn't get colic in 'my day', did they? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I'm gonna do a bit of knitting kondo and getting an early night.:dance:Needs, NOT wants!
No food waste since November 2010. :j

I Kondoed the cabinet under the kitchen sink. What a monster that was! I don't actually report individual items. It helps me to "translate"* items directly into a rubbish bin -otherwise I may chance my mind about any of the items.

Ahh iTwin did you once many moons ago mention that you liked chickens :rotfl:
How funny all the hair gels and waxes etc. I got rid of the same type of stuff when I did my kondoAlong with a 'Hair Polish' That I was talked into buying from a posh hairdressers once. Looked so good when they used it on my hair
When I used it my hair looked like a sticky birds nest :rotfl:and it took me Bl**dy ages to wash the stuff out and I still kept hold of it for about 5 years as it cost so much  How funny.
GQ I am so looking forward to the randomness which I know is coming :T I am sure we wont think you are only knitting with one needle(Think Freddy) xx Or a sandwich short of a picnic (is what my Mum would have said ) x
TBH I think most of us are knitting with only one needle and I would hate for it to be any other way
Now trying to find a plumber as mine seems to have vanished off the face of the earth

Up early today (5 am) as couldn't sleep because of the cold. Never mind, I did some knitting and reading. Couldn't in all conscience go kondo-ing as am in flats and my neighbour's bedroom abuts my sitting-room and I don't like to do anything which might disturb them.
Today's offering to minsgame:
7th October - 2 knackered paint brushes, 2 useless paint scrapers, 2 pill bottles and a dead ponytail band.
I was rootling through two of the six shoeboxes I have in my broom cupboard for corralling small items by type, and that was the cull from part of it. The pill bottles are the kind you get tablets in and I kept them because they Might Be Useful. Oh dearie me............:rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Morning all
Hope everyone is well
Busy day again here so making an early start in attempt to be organised.
Mins game
Day 7
1.Pair unjoyful undies -binned
2.Large plastic sit on zebra toy - sold
3.Pair tweezers that didn't work (they were my spare pair In case I lost the pair that do work but when I pick them up by accident they really annoy me) binned
4.Plastic portable to stand that has a games console storage area built in a shelf below it. Not been used for years - recycled
5/6.2 battery operated colour changing light up eggs (bet you didn't even know such things existed,!) - being taken into work today as they want some space type stuff for a sensory area.
7.Eyeliner pencil that snapped every time I sharpened it. Binned
GQ I'm not sure that pill bottles will ever replace mushroom punnets as potential useful storage worth keeping.
Have a joyful day allSPC~12 ot 124
