Sorting out clothes for holiday and unearthed another couple of tops to go to CS. I also found a 'waterfall' Cardigan that did not suit me and a silk Nehru shirt never worn! Both of which have been passed to friends last night.
Floss - already had the abcess and have the root canal booked for the Monday after I get back from holsCan that count as a Kondo? Lol
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
We have not had carrier bags in Wales for a few years. It's much better for the environment. You soon learn to remember to have a couple of folded bags in your handbag when going into town, and we always keep bags for life in the back of the car for grocery shopping.0

They charge for carrier bags in Spain and people still buy them - mostly men as they're not organised enough to carry a bag with them 😉. However, all produce is put in strong placcy bags, even when you buy stuff off the market. You weigh and price your own produce in some stores and I get strange looks at the till when I turn up with an aubergine or bananas with a label stuck to the side.
Feeling inspired to keep them as large freezer bags now, then could be folded in half and stored beneath the samosa bags in their little tray so wouldn't take up any room ✔️A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Good point, they're not being banned altogether, it's just that there'll be a charge. I expect I'll still find some for the CS run.
I don't use produce bags in the supermarket if I can avoid it ... then I get to the checkout and the cashier helpfully puts my loose items in a plastic bag! I meant to invest in some of those Onya bags, but I might try and make my own for loose spuds, tomatoes etc. Everything else just gets the label stuck on the side!Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Min's game day #24 - finally it is getting harder
or :T
The story so far today (in case I forget later)
2 things from yesterday (face cream and chartership work)
3 pictures \ frames that DD doesn't want
1 limited edition print that we don't like and which needs new glass. I am aftaid it is binned as it isn't in a fit state for donating and would cost more to refurbish than it would get
1 (more - are we breeding them?) random remote - this time for a video player we no longer have
2 electric toothbrushes
2 electric toothbrush charger things -neither will take a charge any more. I guess counting the 4 is a cheat, though four things are leaving. Also I will probably get a new one.
1 more plastic champagne glass - I thought 3 was an odd number. Also noticed the pound shop does a pack of 6 disposables (for a pound) so if I ever feel an urge for a plastic champagne glass......
4 more espresso cups and
4 saucers
Oh I am already on 20 - hang onI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Opens cupboard of random plastic type things
1 mahooosive plastic travel cup bought on the Silverton and Durango railway in the U.S. Because it was the cheapest way to get coffee. Never used since and that was about 6 years ago
1 plastic travel glass that has lost its straw
2 Grand Canyon travel cups that no longer say Grand Canyon. We still have around 4 travel cups that are more useful and easier to handle.
Not so hard .....I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
There have been posts about re-using plastic bags for (a) dog poop or (b) baby nappies.
I assume these are the small bags provided for loose fruit and vegetables as those don't usually have perforations.
If bags with perforations are used instead I suppose (a) may be disposed of quickly in park bins provided for the purpose but (b) must still be unpleasant.0 -
I am not carrier bag hoarding - even samosad they still take up space, I will buy a roll of bin bags. They aren't dear and fit neatly into the allocated space in the drawer.

:rotfl:
That's my plan too but I need to find out which are the size of carrier bags and where to buy them cheaply. My bin (old Ikea) is designed specifically for carriers. I'm using a roll at the moment (LO from a holiday let) that aren't wide enough around the top.0 -
Maman - I feel like the Sainsbugs basics pedal ones are a very similar size to carriers. I use either one in that dreaded bathroom bin and haven't noticed a massive difference. Around 50p a roll, I think.
I used to use carriers for the litter tray but they always have holes in them now. So I switched to the basics ones for that. Basics nappy sacks for scooping, 25p for 100.0 -

Thanks for that. I don't' need them urgently so I'll check the dimensions when I'm in there next. It's the 'mouth' size I've had a problem with.0
