Not much has been done here today :( I wanted to go to Matalan to browse Christmas bits, but the rain has put me off :(
  • Just Kondoed an envelope of keys and alarm/phone details back to a neighbour who's returned from holiday
Gave two headbands I'd knitted to another neighbour
Gave kleeneeze booklet back to collector and said I won't be needed any more to look through.
Sorted a bag of paper recycling out and put it on front for collection.
Ds2 has gone back to school to help out at an open evening.
Cardi I'm not keen on has gone in Cs bag now I'm wearing the newly knitted one.

Have told dd3 well pop round at weekend and help Kondo her broken washing machine they live three flights up in a block of flats with no lifts so can't manage to do it on their own. Dd1 may be able to take it off their hands for scrap or it can sit on our drive till a collector comes in the area. Doesn't usually take long.

Doesn't really feel like I've achieved a lot today.

Maybe rain did you a favour, there was no Xmas in my local matalan. :o
Still sunny up here in northwest :j as testified by my willow which has brown leaves already. Though it is very cold in a morning and evening.
Vjsmum - my dgs would love a sponge bob passport holder :rotfl: though his mum probably wouldn't.
Been on pinterest to try and spark joy into my autumn clothes, maybe get ideas on new ways to wear them or colour combos. Wish I could afford a colour analysis,as I have no idea what I suit,I just buy what catches my eye
Hope that Friday I can revisit my wardrobe and see what I can put together as outfits, I read a blog saying to only buy if it will work with 2 or 3 other items in your wardrobe, so I hope to rid myself of any that only match 1 other item. Hope that makes sense!

:D This I want to see!

Have bought a new-to-me stainless steel colander from a chazzer for £1 to replace the less-joyful one I have which is rather shallow and which is liable to shoot pasta over the edge, among other mishaps. The replacement is fabulous, the bowl part is 6 inches deep and it has a very strong stand.

The one it is replacing will be added to the next donation pile. I did think about keeping it for the few occasions per year when a second colander in use would be necessary but decided that way lies madness.......

Or at least a lorra lorra clutter.:rotfl:

Brilliant. Thanks for that - I think!

Managed a little bit of sewing/mending today but felt good that things that had been hanging around waiting are now all neat and put away.

uk-american, may I ask how you use the blue lamp. Is it in a table lamp or overhead or? DH and I both seem to suffer from SAD to an extent so it might help.

What I love about MK is that although I've managed very little this week (been busy with family birthdays and work related stuff) I am definitely keeping everything that has been done really neat:).

None in mine either! I was being hopeful after they released their online stuff already! Someone in the store said they're getting a delivery this weekend though so hopefully I shall be able to have a browse next week :)

On the plus side I had a mini shopping spree in the teenage section (the joys of being 24 and still fitting in kids clothes! - much cheaper) and bought a few things that I love and I know I'll get a lot of wear out of :) I feel this was allowed after everything that's left the house over the last couple of weeks.
