Thanks - i am definitely going to contact them in regard to my wedding dress but don't feel i can do this with 100 year old christening gowns. At least until I have exhausted other options. I am a bit cross with MiL for putting me in this position when I had already told her I didn't want them, but she sent them home with OH anyway
Send them backTell her you haven't needed them, you don't intend to have any more children, so she can have them back

I always kondo phone books and try to kondo the Screwfix catalogue but DH just picks up another one - and then looks it up online when he actually wants anything LOL
My DH is exactly the same. he does it with Wickes and Ikea catalogues too. We had a basket under a side table in the sitting room that held them all and various other bits of rubbish. I emptied it, put most in recycling, and rehomed the basket. It's now in spare bedroom (where I blow dry my hair) with my hairdryer, hot brush, brushes and clips in. When guests come I can just move the basket out temporarily.
Lots of family birthdays here at the moment so only thing being kondoed is cake!:o
I am having great joy from my newly decorated and totally kondoed sitting room. Not a single thing has been allowed to re-enter and it looks fab:D.
Did another corner of the conservatory today, keep gazing at the lovely clean widows. I've also sewed loops on my kitchen towels. It's only a tiny thing but hanging them on the corner of the radiator looks so much better than lying them across. Makes the room seem more spacious somehow.
Hoping to crack on tomorrow with the endless craft bits.0 -

Sorry to say wood is not a good place for photos as the acid in it will react against the photos and they will deteriorate.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0 -
You're all doing so well. :T
I'm pretty low at the moment so the only thing I want to Kondo right now is me. Don't think the charity shop would take me, though.
Probably have better luck at the tip! :rotfl:
Ah well just as well I've still got a sense of humour, eh?Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

I am pretty low today too, although I was great yesterday until I received yet another hospital letter stating I am going into hospital again next week. If I was an animal I would have been put down a long time ago!!
Kondo will have to take a back seat for a while unfortunately.0 -
Understanding the lowness, peeps. While I had a Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) kondo'd back in August, I now have a second spot appearing which looks exactly like the first. The consultant and I disagree on it, I hope he's right but I suspect he's not. I've now kondo'd an Asia holiday in Ocober (OH was there for work, so would have been cheap since hotels covered for part.) My next scheduled appt is Dec 4th, so hoping to have some direction then.
This too shall pass...0 -

We were supposed to go on holidays a few times but we didn't get due to all the hospital appointments.
My Mum had a day procedure and has to go back for another. She said she thought she would have got tea and toast because she was fasting from the night before but they didn't give her anything although her appointment was 2pm and she didn't get out of the hospital until after 5pm.
Hopefully we will all improve!!0 -
