Oh, and OH has said that he will sort through a bag of cameras and lenses he has. Expensive things but which have sat in said bag for nearly 20 years and, in this digital age, he would never use again... Can you even buy film?? It is a major breakthrough that he is even considering letting them go.

The lenses are probably still usable, as the mounts haven't changed since film days. Depending what they are, they could be quite sought after by lens geeks. Definitely look up some sold prices on *bay to see if they have any value.

The film bodies probably aren't worth much, if they're just standard 35mm film as opposed to more professional formats. But again, doesn't hurt to take a look as there may be collectors out there interested.

I have been struggling with lack of energy and ill health all year, but perhaps I am emerging from the doldrums as I feel that I need all this clutter to be gone before the Winter really sets in.

MaddieMay, I am in the same mindset, two years of poor health and now well on the road to recovery and I want my house sorted once and for all!

I am amazed how this change in thinking has altered my purchasing, of everything! I am already thinking really hard before even buying groceries! I had to actually go and buy toothpaste yesterday because we had run out!! I don't think that has happened in years, there is usually a stockpile!:T

I haven't actually Kondoed much in the last couple of days but this morning I have posted off some face cream that sold on Eb@y, I listed a few things (more expensive items) several weeks ago and slowly they are selling. I have also donated some bras that I can no longer wear to a colleague and those that she did not want or didnt fit her I am going to send abroad, can't remember the name of the scheme but it has been mentioned on here.

Tonight I am planning on tackling the crockery and hopefully the candle mountain, I did actually stop buying candles months and months ago after realising I had a problem and now that we are heading into the prime 'candle burning' season I hope to kondo quite a lot of them each week! The other target this week is the dreaded plastic containers, they breed, I'm sure!:rotfl:

So thats my plans for after work, also need to kondo some course work that has to be in next week but thats far less interesting than samosaing carrier bags!!:rotfl:

Take care all,

Min's game Day 16

1. Rosebowl
2. Candleabra
3. Plastic lids for storage tubs we no longer have
4. Jane Norman dress that has never fitted properly
5. Spanish phrasebook – what is it with the randomly located phrasebooks that we never remember to take with us?
6. Citronella candle
7. More foreign coins
8. Random connector for a mobile phone we don’t have (this was on a prominent windowsill – why don’t we see these things????)
9. One (!) ping pong bat
10. A broken umbrella that’s been “mugging me off” (as DS would say) for ages – we have several functioning umbrellas, so why was I carrying round one that was annoying? A bit like the quilt / pillow situation discussed above, I guess.
11. A book detailing how to make eco – friendly cleaning products. Useful but nothing I can’t look up online. Plus I have only made one of them - and that didn’t work :rotfl:
12. A nit comb – hopefully my days of needing one of these are over.
13. A cookbook for the Halogen oven – I don’t think I need a specific book
14. DD’s Spongebob passport cover
15. A pack of “Instant railroad capsules” – you drop them into hot water and they make a train (I have no words…….)
16. A small notebook, the plastic binding of which disintegrated the minute I touched it.

Honestly, it looks like I am just sitting here thinking of random things I could list – but these are things I am genuinely seeing as I go round the house.

Yesterday I telephoned about my appointment because apparently they did not know I was an insulin dependant diabetic and therefore I would need a morning appointment.

The hospital which sends out the appointments is not the same hospital that I am having the procedure done at. I telephoned the number on the appointment letter because of being diabetic and because mother nature will be there when I am due to get the procedure. The hospital which sent out the appointment say the procedure can go ahead but the hospital where the procedure is to take place say they don't think the procedure can go ahead but they would get back to me. I am waiting from yesterday and no response. Due to being on an insulin pump I had to telephone the doctor who helps me manage it to see how best to amend the settings and to see if I can get the sedation because last time they wouldn't give it to me due to being on the pump and then I ended up on oxygen. He is at a different hospital to the other two. His receptionist said she would get him to phone me back either yesterday or today but he hasn't got back to me either. I have to go and see my GP tomorrow about the procedure - at least I know he will help as best he can. It is unreal that for one person's procedure there are three hospital and one doctor's surgery involved.

My diet also has to change a week in advance so I would need to know soon. I really don't need this hassle because my eating is poor at the moment any way!!

Anyway I have decided to put it to the back of my mind and I am going to sort out my footwear, hats, gloves, scarfs and coats. I already know I have a few coats for eBay because of losing weight. Will hopefully write descriptions and take photos of the coats today and upload them tomorrow. :j

Life is too short & too precious to sit around waiting on hospital representatives to get back to me!! ;)

I bet they're cheaper than HS2!!!
Feeling a bit meh today - must be the weather. Managed to Kondo a sewing job - small curtains for a friends boat as a little 'thank you! DH saved me a Pringle top to go on my knitting needle tube. The tube was too long so I chopped it off & the tube fits very neatly into my sewing cupboard. That's about all I've done apart from sorting some bits for the CS - not much though :(
Note to self - must try harder!!
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
• Thanks for the suggestion yesterday of 'seasonal change' leading to the doldrums. I quite missed that one as I've been looking at the calendar rather that out the window. It has rained virtually every day for two weeks in my little corner of Essex. Noticed today, the office building across the road has turned on their heat while my remaining few tomatoes are outside shivering.

So with that I got out my magical blue light today and had a Berocca. I highly recommend these blue lights btw. They can cost a bit of money, but cheaper than flying to Spain for a week to recharge in the sun.

So today I painted the bathroom! Having a postage stamp sized flat has its advantages, it's quick to paint as it's tiny. It seems that every time I KM an area, I remove things and it exposes dust, dirt and tired walls.

Fortunately I had the leftover paint (from 2009 when this was last painted).

Unfortunately, I could feel a heaviness in the room. While I had removed everything from the surfaces, the cupboard felt not right. I ended up painting the room and then hauling everything out. While it was previously ok, like things were together, but there was still too much not in use, forgotten and quite frankly, not needed.

So a black bin bag is now 3/4 full and other items are set aside to give away.

And now I have time to google "Instant railroad capsules".
