bossymoo - If you enjoy the group, I'd ask for the red (original) plan details if you don't have it in your books. It gets rid of the unlimited carbs, you pretty much only get your HE allowance (although you can have two on red!) and the rest is synned. It worked MUCH better for me than EE.

I've Kondoed the shirt I was wearing today. The buttons are too small for the holes so it pops open too easily. It's only a grandfather style neckline and not fully buttoned, but makes it a bit more low cut than I planned. And I decided I don't love it enough to stitch up the holes, so in the charity bag it will go after next wash.

i-queen - great idea about the colour charts, I will start collecting them on my next trip to civilisation:D (we do have a small indie DIY store, so I will see what they have to start with.

Mavvymoo - sounds like a great day, productive and fun too.

Another low carb fan here, I started because I felt that bread was making me bloated and feeling sluggish, I had to eat a lot of gluten before I could be tested for coeliac disease and felt awful, tests were negative for the 3rd time in my life, but I know I feel better with very few carbs. I was happy with my weight of about 9st and 5'3" and at first lost more weight than I wanted to (at 66 looked too saggy in the face), but seem to have it sorted now.

Sometimes, it's the 'mistakes' in your wardrobe that pinpoint what you really want... Fabulous client today, Mavvymoo, who has ruthlessly decluttered her home but was struggling to tackle wardrobes full of 'split personality' styles and all sorts of everything. I showed Mavvymoo that simple, pared down clothes in natural yet upscale fabrics suited her body shape and busy, ordered lifestyle - she was really happy with that. Then lurking in the closet depths I found a sea of flowing, highly embellished, creative clothes that didn't really suit her 'physically'. But these were the clothes that made her heart race, even though she never wore them... After a long talk Mavvymoo revealed there was a hugely creative side to her that she had suppressed for years; I showed her how to get the 'uniqueness' she craved into her wardrobe without resorting to flimsy frills and flounces and to honour her intention indulge her love of making and sewing. And to think more creatively about where her life might go...

Thought I would post this as it would most likely apply to most of us

I'm glad you had a good time, mave, and enjoyed the exoerience. It must be confidence-boosting to have some of your colour and styles confirmed! See, you are not 8, you are at least 17. :D

Now, you've got your shopping day, coming up, too! :j

I had a play with colours, after looking at the CMB palettes on the net and a few more 'find your colour sites'! According to all the tests, I'm Autumn or Winter.

I realised a long time ago that I don't like pastel colours - too wishy-washy to me... not enough drama! I tried scarlet, Barbie-pink, navy blue, and olive green tees around my shoulders and face... definitely Autumn! I also realised that my favourite long cardi is closer to dark denim blue than navy. So, the navy and pink will go, neither enhanced my complexion. :o

I'm rather gleeful that most of my clothes fall in the Autumn range, that they are the ones that spark joy, and are the ones I wear when I want to look specially good! :rotfl:

Perhaps we are drawn naturally to the right colours, by early trial and error? I loved my the colour of my school uniform, which was bottle green and was so glad it wasn't navy! :D

So far, just the two of us, I haven't had to adjust my colours, as I prefer slightly muted shades - the scarlet and B pink were aberrations, although the red does look rather good. No way will I be going down the beige/lavender/pastels route to old age! :rotfl:And my hair is staying natural... grey/white around my face, graduating to natural dark brown at my waist! :D

bossymoo, I agree, kepp going to the group! I continued going to WW when I first started low-carb eating - the leader was amazed at my sudden weight-loss! Then WW wnet low-carb! The slimming industry aren't stupid and must have done the research too, for H and S reasons.

, I've found the same thing with white bread over the last couple of years. After eating wholemeal for over a decade, I really feel off, if I have to eat a white sandwich somewhere! :(

Oh, and the best colour charts are the D*lux separate little cards for their colour-mixing service, and the OP suggested that BnQ do their own too. I have found that I have a special gift... I can memorise a colour and go out to buy matching sewing cotton in the exact colour, without a reference! Sadly, it doesn't work for black clothes! :rotfl:

, welcome to the Konvert Koven! :coffee: Thanks for the link, I shall read it in a minute, although many/most of us may have discovered this already... with the help of a great gang of posters on this thread! ;) You're gonna love it here! :rotfl:

Thanks for that, iTwin, that's definitely me, too. I am floaty, but not frilly! :D

Those hidden creative wannabe-s are not only in the wardrobes - they are hidden all over the house. We need to dig them out! ;)

I'm dying to get at my sewing machine, so I can again make my own designs! I'm hoping that it's still possible to buy decent fabric. Nearly all the clothes I see on eBay are Frankenfabric - polyester, viscose and elastane! Ah, well, maybe I can start a new fashion wave, with my psychedelic fabrics from the 60s... when I find them! :rotfl:

Yep itwin at least 17 :T But this is the bit I like most 'ruthlessly decluttered her home' At least you all know I am being honest :D

Funny 'I had one thing in my wardrobe which would be in the Boho range and she said these are your colours and should look good on you. I said but it doesnt :rotfl:Tried it on and she said 'Oh no take it off you cant do Boho' :rotfl:I thought of you and grinned to myself ;)

It really has helped me as I can carry off what I love. The other thing she said what has rung true is.

Though remember that your intention may change hourly, daily, yearly.
Just wear what feels right at the time.

    How bl**dy refreshing :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

So I decided that clearing out the bedroom closet at 23.45 was not a good idea....

But I still managed to pile up 3 games we've never played, the shoes I wore to be bridesmaid 12 years ago, DS football net that I'd bought but it was the wrong size, and a weird noise machine that the MIL once bought me. All chazzzer bound

Plus horrid hangers for the bin, some boxes for children's electronics we no longer have, tie backs for curtains long dead, and travel neck wallets which have died in storage - all bin bound.

    Why why why?

    :D
