I watched a DVD which I borrowed a couple of months ago from my brother, which can be given back to him when we get together on Friday. It was one I was tempted to buy (secondhand DVDs being cheaper than rentals here) but I stayed my hand and asked him if he had it, and he did.
It was OK and can now leave the premises.
Am kondo-ing my way through the porridge mountain, as I used to eat it a lot and then fell out of the habit (laziness about washing up afterwards) and am now firmly back in the habit.
I also acquired a fruit punnet last weekend, totally free with some fruit! I shall put it in the cupboard for a while as I am sure there is a kondo-need for it which is about to make itself apparent. This wait-and-the-containers-appear phenomenon is truly amazing, isn't it?
I guess we've all been going about life backwards, pre-kondo. We identified a muddle and thought Aha! I need more storage! instead of thinking Waitaminute, what's all this Stuff and do I need it?
SomeStuff will be shuttling in and out of my home via the parental home. A couple of items are c.s. bound after a friend who has expressed lack of that particular item is given first refusal. They may not quite suit her needs, but there's no obligation on her to take them as I will just c.s. them if they're no good to her.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

While we're waiting ... I came across this review of The Book. I've followed this blog for a while, it's worth clicking on a couple of the links to find out why she began 'The William Morris Project' after her friend's parents died leaving a house to clear. I will be watching her progress through the MK process with interest.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0 -
Me: "I think this dress needs a silver coloured belt to accentuate my waist".

I would even take it a bit further: some empty containers I can ruthlessly throw away, but others, I feel hesitant. I now know to follow that instinct; that there is a little group of items that would fit that box exactly, but I just did not know it consciously.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.590 -
Another scarf lover here, I have a good array of pashminas that I have collected over the past dozen years or so, they have to be natural fibres for me, but lots have come from clothes agencies, charity shops or TK-Maxx. At this time of year I wear the very long floaty viscose ones, mostly tied in pashmina fashion too. A good website for those that are not confident trying them (that was me once:rotfl::rotfl: is this one
Does anyone know if one can buy the clothes matching colour cards or fabrics anywhere? I was matched as cool winter many years ago, but lost my swatches, whilst I am pretty good at buying the right colours, sometimes I do get the wrong tones and it does make quite a difference, I also found them really useful for choosing accessories.
Once you know your colours, you could make your own. Go to an Art shop and ask for a watercolour/oil paint chart (Or pick up those separate Dul*x household paint cards - do they still do them?).
Match clothes you already have in your colours, and stick the little squares onto a small card for you handbag.Needs, NOT wants!
