That's a fab idea, iQueen I might do that!

Hope you're enjoying your day, mav

Nothing doing today - entertaining the little ones. Kondoed DDs hula hoop - it's got squashed...

I'm on a mission to kondo some more weight. One month to my hols and I bet my slightly tight clothes could be much more loose! I have some lovely stuff if I just stop nibbling...

Finished the day with cleaning the bathroom and sorting out last bits in there - guess what a box 'made itself known' and is now being used in bathroom cupboard to store a category of toiletries nice and neatly and all together so we can see what we have:D

    OMG! Thank you, Igamogam! :T

I'm so busy collecting up punnets and small (pretty) boxes, in hope of use! WHY didn't I think of this? :o I have just the container for all those single use intensive conditioner, clear-your-wrinkles sachets, elastic hair bands on a card, and (repurposed) pot of hairpins! :rotfl:

Go low-carb for the month, but stop as soon as the clothes fit, or it will cost you a fortune buying a whole new set!

2 slices of wholemeal bread a day. No potatoes, biscuits, cakes, puddings, sweets, pasta, chocolate, or low-fat foods.

Low-fat options contain more carbs. Also, fat provides flavour, takes longer to metabolise and keeps you satisfied longer, so snacking becomes unnecessary.

Nibble a small piece of cheese, slice of ham, hard-boiled egg... if you do need to snack.

Eat protein, double cream, butter, and vegetables, a little fruit (if you must!) Eat as much as you need to satisfy your hunger.

You will lose the weight you need to, safely - I've lived on low-carb since 2002. No diabetes, BP normal and cholesterol 4. :rotfl:

Really excited to hear all about it, Mavvymoo!

While we're waiting ... I came across this review of The Book. I've followed this blog for a while, it's worth clicking on a couple of the links to find out why she began 'The William Morris Project' after her friend's parents died leaving a house to clear. I will be watching her progress through the MK process with interest.

Hi all, I've just read this review and seen that the second book, Spark Joy: An Illustrated Master Class on the Art of Organizing and Tidying Up Hardcover – December 29, 2015 will be out soon. Just in time to put it on our Christmas lists. :T

Thank you all for your posts, I love reading them.

    ETA. I've just pre-ordered this from Am*zon for £11.64. :D

No kondoing here either... I've been trying to discover my season! :(

I'm definitely Autumn or Winter and probably Deep.

As, just colours, the Autumn palette attracts me most and the 2 lipsticks that I've kept definitely fit that. :o Apart from that I'm pretty lost.

I shall re-purpose my pretty box to the bathroom cabinet, so I can claim to have done some kondoing. Then I shall have a play with my 'Autumn and Winter' coloured clothes, to find what suits me best (I hope!) ;)

I really should be doing some chores, but if I make some discoveries, I shall be happier!

BTW, if anyone else follows GQ's tips, don't do it in full sunlight - it will skew your results! :)

    Exactly!

I will do it longer, as ultimately I don't mind if the clothes are too big after my holiday :)

But the first aim is the holiday.

I tend not to eat bread, but absolutely yes, low carb is the order of the day / month / forever-ish. Today I've made chicken and bacon quiche without the crust.

Tried slimming world for months and I've got half a stone off, but the free and easy spuds, pasta, rice does nothing for me - must mess with my sugar levels as I just crave sweeties all the time.

I've done low carb before, I know how effective it is, and how much clearer I feel for it :T

Oooo! You are good... no crust! I'm not that hardcore, but then, I can't remember when I last ate pastry!

Kondoing has made me think about having a 'hardcore blast', because I am quite overweight, although just the exercise (ugh!) of kondoing has taken me down a size. :j

I really don't understand (well, I do,unfortunately,) why the government doesn't push low-carb. (The food industry would go ballistic!)

    It's commonsense to me.

When humans started farming, the heavy manual labour needed fuelling and cereals were cheaper than anything else. Now, (especially since cars and the Technological Revolution), we are all sedentary. Lack of time for proper cooking, and affluence, enabling the purchase of Frankenfood and fastfood deliveries, are making us fat because, as animals, we are programmed to conserve energy. So, enforced 'exercise' doesn't 'spark joy' in most people. :o

Bottom-line, we get all the energy we need today, from fresh protein, fat, dairy, vegetables and fruit. We just don't need all added extra carbs that the food industry put in everything! :(

Anyway, good luck with kondoing a few pounds for your holiday! :D

Have you tried doing red days on SW, bossy, rather than Extra Easy? Or the new SP days?
