I am thinking of wearing the silver Docs that my daughter left at home!

Go for it! Years ago I saw an older woman, possibly around pension age, striding along the street in London. She wore a cream linen suit, white shirt, red Doc Marten shoes and a black fedora style hat on top of her shoulder length grey hair.

I'll never forget her style and obvious comfort in her own skin and clothes.
  • Duvets and cases finally finished. Two bags to chazza and one to the dump. One small item also kondoed once and for all. Have freed up two underbed storage boxes. Am so relieved that it's going in the right direction again.

oh no iqueen what have you started:) i looked at boho fashion on pinterest and that is so my style. unfortunately I have very few clothes that fit the boho theme (apart from leggings and skinny jeans) but that is what I want to aim for. I think I am going to look at my wardrobe in a whole new light:j

    Woodstock was my era! :D

You're halfway there with leggings and skinny jeans! A pair of Docs, biker ankle boots (or 'Damascus Docs'!), a tie-dyed/floral/ethnic pattern short hankie-hem dress, flowers in your hair and you're rocking! :rotfl:

I might have to go Goth, to avoid the competition! :o But black's harsh at my age! Anyway, if we all go Boho, no 2 of us will look alike. :)

I managed to kondo one makeup palette and 4 singles. The other three are sitting there waiting to be used. The colours are so vibrant and beautiful and i'm struggling to let go.... makeup is something i can hide behind when i'm feeling not so confident... not so good.

    I dont like getting old.

I don't like getting old, but our bodies have no choice! I'm never going to grow up! Still rocking!

I have a couple of saris that I have worn for formal 'does' - much cheaper than formal dresses, and look amazing. They, like most long skirts, make me move much more gracefully - can't just barge around when you feel totally serene. The other thing about saris is that they fit whatever your size! :rotfl:

Oh lessonlearned I had a lovely picture of you dressed head to toe in leopard print leaning on the bar of the Rovers :rotfl::rotfl:

The colour lady calls clothes sorting 'Wardrobe weeding' :rotfl:What a great name for it.

Really looking forward to Wednesday when she comes but looking around I think I may have to clean the floor before she gets here otherwise she may stick in the mud by the front door and never get in :o

It has now rained here for about 3 days and we still have another couple of days of it :( So I have muddy paw prints everywhere so better do a bit of cleaning today sadly :o But still have wide empty spaces and drawers in the house :) So hopefully wont take too long to do.

So thats the plan for today me thinks. Have a lovely day and welcome to Summer :rotfl:

    Morning all
Not a huge amount done over the weekend but I've loved reading the thread and keeping up with the clothes and colour chat.
DH went through his small RC tanks helicopters and cars. About 4 got kondoed as they no longer worked properly, so all now fit neatly in one side of the sideboard with his fitness DVDs. Finished reading call the midwife last night really enjoyed it but will pass on to my mum as I know she'll enjoy it. Watched another DVD and that is being passed on with instructions not to be returned. Came across and Al Murray (pub landlord) cd so Dh decided to listen to it in the car before passing it on to a friend at work. Found it really funny and told me he was going to order another as he seen one on tinterweb he'd not heard of. But we've got that DVD says I it was in your cupboard when I tided the dupes up. So we are going to watch that this week meaning the tidy up saved us a £5er.
He was on about buying pitch perfect but DD3 pointed out it was on TV Saturday night so we watche it on there instead of buying another one watch DVD, another £5er saved there.
Got best friend coming round today so need to sort out the bits I'm kondoing in her direction (50s queen mother type handbag, pair of cotton lace crocheted gloves and some unworn vintage seamed stockings) along with the offer of some reels of crochet cotton if she wants those.
Also need to bake a cake for the occasion.

  • Morning everyone
Had a very productive day yesterday - tidied a lot of the garage and kondo'd loads of empty carriers, finished off two weed guns on ndn's drive and binned those. Put an item on freecycle and decided what to do with two other things that have been hanging around.

Then I hit the books! Not literally. I held each and every one of them and now have a huge pile for the O**am bookshop. All the books are now in just two places and that has freed up most of one bookcase so I can store my paperwork files boxes ans folders!! Have decided to take three more items to see if they can be auctioned - things left by late D Mum - that will happen tomorrow.

It's raining here today so have a load of phone calls to do and more paperwork sorting.

Have a good WW on Wednesday, Mavvymoo. Coincidentally I found a CMB book on my shelves that I had forgotten I had - CM slimmer - that is a keep 'cos although I am much lighter now I still have areas of my body that I don't love!!
