My DH did the opposite. He came home one day with a massive bag of carrier bags and quite proudly stated that he'd gotten them at work and with the bag charge coming in this year, thought we might need them. We only use carrier bags to line the small bin in the study. Bless0 -

Yes it does make things much easier, doesn't it.
It's blankets and spare quilts that take up all the space
Vaccum storage bags!I am another one that has kondo'd loads of clothing with tags onSo stupid but lesson learnt
Thats why I think this lady will save me in the long run :T Yes you do get a colour swatch and to be honest with you all I also hate trying on clothes so I think I will get her to come with me on my first shopping trip :rotfl:She charges £30 an hour for that which is worth the £60 for a two hour shop
(She also does all the reasearch on the items you need for gaps in your wardrobe and what shops they are in so you meet her at the changing rooms for you just to try the items. As I will save time and money I am all for it.Not buying another carp item again is so exciting :rotfl:
So I am going the whole hog with this :rotfl:and do you know what I dont care what anyone thinks
She might as well pick everything I need as I have proved time and time again I cant get it right !
Mav x;)
Good for you, iTwin! Money, spent mindfully, is likely to to be well spent.
I sorted more clothes, to go, and and made my lips sore, trying on lipstick, which I rarely wear anyway... 5 gone, 2 remain (and more hiding in another 2 make-up boxes)! Still need to do make-up properly, but got rid of loads of nail varnishes earlier. All the lipsticks were pinks and do nothing for my face, so now have muted berry colours, that pop and don't make me look as is I have heart failure! :rotfl:
Just got to corral some electronic komono that's going, then I can finish the damned Elizabeth George novel (it was slated on Am@azon, so not just me), and choose a book that will bring me joy! Might also have a play with my hair - found some great Boho hair styles that might bring me joy!Needs, NOT wants!
No food waste since November 2010. :j

So spooky iTwin.I have been searching new hairstyles and lipsticks :)So bored of my hair its untrueIts never cut or coloured how I want it. So spent yesterday looking up reviews on Hairdressers in Norwich so if you want to have a look at the reviews and see if you think the same one as me
I would be grateful for your opinion
And if your book is that bad you may as well do something else :-)
I have kondo'd every bit of make-up I ownI have not got 1 item left and will go and try out some new on Friday and replace the lot
The colour lady also does makeup advice
which is part of the service so can start from scratch with a few items which I will use
I am feeling pretty damn good with all the changes going on
Your hairstyles sound an excellent choice for your new boho look

I ought to go through my makeup. Ive got loads of eyeshadows, singles and pallets. Cant wear them, they make my eyes water.
I put on a grey eyeshadow today after giving eyeshadow a break for a few weeks and within an hour it looked like a child had applied it.
All i can say is... thank goodness for lipstick! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I need to meet your hubby, let's say 2p per bag x 1500 = £30
If they bring in the same charge as up here (Scotland) it'll be 5p a bag! And for a Gr*ggs tiny sandwich bag, that's a flaming insult!
And IQueen could I suggest just letting the book go, unfinished? I always hated to do that and persevered with the worst books but since MK I realised that my time is worth more than the contents of a less than joyful book! Give it a go - it's absolutely liberating LOLLooking ahead0 -

When the bag charge came in here I saved up a small supermarket worth of bags because I line the kitchen bin l with them.............then I had to buy a new bin and the bags didn't fir any more. No worries I would use them in the bathroom bin which was fine but they did eventually deteriorate and the ones at the bottom on the bag just crumbled like confetti! I now buy liners for kitchen bin and use the draw handle bags that toilet rolls come in to line bathroom bin:DBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Oooh, have fun at your colours consultation Mavvymoo! I had mine done by one of my Mum's friends a while back. It was brilliant - made me rethink my style, and the colours I was choosing.
I'm Spring and Autumn (consultant said I have tones of both) so I need warm, bright and deep colours (rich jewel colours, brown, green, rust red etc).
I tried on several pairs of trousers today - just a few pounds off fitting jeans the next size down so I will be able to kondo the bigger ones"Does it spark joy?" - Marie Kondo

Well done allybee on your weight loss and I hope you get down to the smaller size very soon
After laying in bed last night thinking about clothes :rotfl:I got up at 2am to kondo two dresses I never wear and am not likely to in the near futureAfter that I slept like a baby so it was the right thing to do.:)
Sometimes I wish Marie would get out of my head :rotfl:But most times I welcome her to be there
another sort of kondo today which will please me. Kondoing the stuff in the village hall shed and have a lady who runs bootsale stalls for an animal charity collecting the lot of bric a brac left over from events.I am so sick of the sight of a lot of the stuff and start collecting new items for the fete in 4 weeks time
On that note I came home yesterday to a small bag sitting on the doorstep with a note saying bric a brac fete on it. When I opened the bag a bit later on in it is a Pineapple corer, a latice pastry roller cutter thingy, and a vegatable spiraller  and that was it :rotfl:all from tupperwear from about the 1970s:rotfl:So they will end up in the trash and treasure bagsIs it one of you lot who are kondoing useless items out of your kitchen ? :rotfl:
It did give me a right laugh so thank you whoever you were
