Bedding.
Have made a fairly large pile of unwanted duvet sets and sheets. For the kiddies I'm keeping quite a few single sheets, they have brushed cotton in winter and cooler poly cotton in summer. So two of each for each child. And one of each for the spare bed (we have a regular weekly guest). 2 duvet covers for each bed. 2 sheets for mine. Plus the winter / summer duvet complications.
Occasionally I pull out the spare bed to double width (it has a stored trundle) so it also needs a superking sheet and king duvet and cover.
Thats a lot of bedding... Not even including any blankets for the really bad weather. Gah.
I'm feeling the pain at the momentBossymoo

@bossymoo I am a slob of the First Order, but I do recommend keeping quilt cover, sheet, pillowcases inside the final pillowcase. It helps to keep the sets together, and instantly accessible.0

Hi everyone
Loved the chat about school uniforms - a real trip down memory lane. One school blazer all through secondary school, I dyed my mums old cream trench coat navy blue because we couldnt afford a proper coat for me so poor mum lost her raincoat. Sensible shoes, ugh!! But I thank my mum now because my chiropodist thinks my feet are great for my age 64. No,bunions, nice straight toes, so yes mum knew best......
My parents bought me a second hand sewing machine for my 13th birthday I learnt to sew and there was no stopping me, ended up making clothes for both my sister and me, always had the latest fashions for peanuts.
Re the colours. I won a consultation with CMB in a raffle. she said I was deep Autumn and I followed her advice and never made a Mistake again. I used to have auburn hair and hazel/brown eyes. The only problem is my hair is now white and those deep autumn colours dont sit right now. Skin tones change too as we age. I was thinking about treating myself.
Ive worked out what cut and styles suit me but no
Longer sure about colours. I am sure it would be a good investment for me because I have Kondoed several dresses that have only been worn once because they definitely didn't give me joy. I'm embarassed to say that I even kondoed a brand new dresss still with tags on. Now that was an expensive mistake.......:o0 -

Hear, hear. I'd always laughed at the idea of doing this, until I tried it - it's a revelation, no more searching for the matching pillow cases. What with that and the 'burrito' method of putting the duvet cover on, I positively look forward to changing the bed now.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. I am another one that has kondo'd loads of clothing with tags on
So stupid but lesson learnt
Thats why I think this lady will save me in the long run :T Yes you do get a colour swatch and to be honest with you all I also hate trying on clothes so I think I will get her to come with me on my first shopping trip :rotfl:She charges £30 an hour for that which is worth the £60 for a two hour shop
(She also does all the reasearch on the items you need for gaps in your wardrobe and what shops they are in so you meet her at the changing rooms for you just to try the items. As I will save time and money I am all for it.Not buying another carp item again is so exciting :rotfl:
So I am going the whole hog with this :rotfl:and do you know what I dont care what anyone thinks
She might as well pick everything I need as I have proved time and time again I cant get it right !
Mav x;)

As I will save that in one stupid unjoyful item
Which would be in the charity bag a couple of weeks later :rotfl:As it would annoy me just sitting there knowing I made yet another mistake
So I am going the whole hog with this :rotfl:and do you know what I dont care what anyone thinks
