Thanks for your answers on the bras
I know I can have as many as bring me joy but I like to know how many people can cut down to and still manage to wash dry etc. I have 18  after KM'ing about the same amount. But do these all bring me joy no not really but they hold my boobs up
But do I need 18 unjoyful bras no I dont so that will change that and I will kondo 10 and keep the least unjoyful 8 :rotfl: until I can buy maybe 4 new ones with a couple of pairs of matching knickers/shorts etc for each:) So thank you all
So back to underwear kondoing over the weekend
Back to basics I will get this right and feel joyful in the end.
Trouble is why are bras so expensive

Just over a dozen bras (after KMing some) - one cream, one plain black and the rest coloured (inc mauve, purple, fuschia silk, red , peach with hot pink spots and others) ALL have matching knickers/ thongs (2 or 3 pairs for each bra, varying styles for each bra if poss) I have a couple of pairs of pink and black knickers which I love and which the washing machine ate the matching bra - I wear those in bed with a vest top
I also have some plain black lacy thongs/ Brazilian cut knickers for wearing with corsets.

Hmmm. A dozen bras, OK; 2-3 pairs of knicks for each... Also, seems I'm missing out on something with the corsets. Long-term memory must be failing!:rotfl:
I have 27 bras, far more than I guessed, but all the same make, model and size, so I'm keeping them all, except the one that shot a wire last time I wore it out, and was really painful till I got home. Normally, I would mend it, but it is over 10 years old, so I think it can go in the rag bag now.
23 pairs of knicks, but some are a proving uncomfortable, so I'm binning them, when I discover which they are.
2 pairs of good dark indigo jeans, and one black. 2 pairs of old stonewash for gardening and housework, 2 unworn pairs of flares, (1 black and 1 cobalt) which need shortening, when I find the sewing machine. 3 pairs of baggy faded, 1 of which I fancy re-purposing as a long skirt, the other two to rag bag.
Thinking about books and reading. I've been struggling with an Elizabeth George for the past couple of months - it's absolute carp. I'm close to the end and can't allow myself to not finish it, so tomorrow I'm going to do that, so it can go back to the CS I got it from. (Mental note: don't buy huge hardbacks for reading in bed - they make my wrists ache!)
peaceandfreedom, keep on kondoing. Eventually, it will sort your house and head out. You will know when you reach the right decision, whatever that is. Till then, ignore carppy people and just be happy!
Feeling a little peeved. Coming up to 3 weeks since diagnosis. I have rung 3 times to get an appointment with the surgeon to discuss a more reliable op on the BCC... still no response! Waited in all day for a phone call, again. Great way to meet waiting-time targets - leave it close to the 6 weeks treatment target, then refer me to another specialist! For me, I will end up waiting for another 6 weeks for emergency op! Cute!
Apart from that... still :dance:Needs, NOT wants!

Because making them is labour intensive! And people will pay the price!
Perhaps we need a new Women's Lib revolt, and do some more bra-burning? :rotfl:(Although I'm 40D, I frequently go without.:D)Needs, NOT wants!

Take it to the tip as builder's rubble?
Offer on Freecycle?
Use (or give to a friend to use) as an outside plant pot?
Wonder if my neighbour wants it, she's had everything else. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
If you can't give it away, there should be rubble section at the council tip where you can put it.
I had a classic example of MK's wisdom with regard to containers. I had a skinny shoebox which had been surplus to requirements since I donated the spare landline phone which used to be stored in it, and it'd been floating around the sitting-room. I was on the verge of breaking it down for recycling, although I have an unreasonable attachment to shoeboxes, and didn't really want to part with it.
Then, when reorganising the small drawer in the wall-unit, the one which I use for prescription and OTC meds, plus the first aid kit, I needed something to hold fiddly little boxes upright, and ka-ching! there went the shoebox. I also needed a subdivider in that box, to hold tablet strips which were loose, so they'd be used up first, and there was a small square flowerpot, one of the six which had held the lavender, to hand.
Amazing, hey?:rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Solved!
Thank goodness we are not 'our brother's (or sister's) keeper'! If she/he wants it, give it to them! Let's hope their (your old!) excess doesn't overflow onto your property! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:If you can't give it away, there should be rubble section at the council tip where you can put it.

Isn't it brilliant, when that happens? You gotta love MK!
Hope you had a good night's sleep, after the assault on your mouth!
I'm going to spend the day making a determined assault on the stuff that's preventing me moving forward. Seem to have hit a bit of 'overwhelm'!
I need to do some 'tidying'. Not ordinary tidying, just getting where, and what, I've done, organised better, together with a bit more ruthlessness.
Still haven't adjusted, head-wise, to how little will fit into my house-space, neatly and comfortably. I need to crack this, because all this 'wading through [STRIKE]shi[/STRIKE] treacle' is slowing me down and preventing me from seeing results. (I know excuses, excuses! I'll stop whining, get on with it, and make another push forward!) :rotfl:Needs, NOT wants!

Ugh! Just had a thought...
With all this wardrobe and Colour Consultancy going on... I will have to re-think my knitting yarn stash! There may be some good quality stuff going on eBay, unless I find time to knit it up for family! Maybe I need to start Christmas early?
Haven't got to my komono and stash yet, because the eventual storage is not cleared yet!Needs, NOT wants!
