Indeed and it doesn't take too long for kids to work it out.

My nieces, whose Dad earns a fortune and who pull up regularly into our driveway in a gigantic Merc, have no qualms about pointing out to my kids how poor we are. It's true, we are skint, what can I say, you only have to glance around the house, look at the ageing cars in the driveway, ask us when we last went on holidays.

However, all my kids have worked as soon as they were old enough to get a job, they buy all their own luxuries and (unlike my nieces) they have some manners!

Just to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has offered me advice and support, lots to think about.

I now feel a bit guilty about thinking this way about DH at all but that will probably be fleeting .

In any case, we must leave the most difficult things until last so I will plan out the rest of the Kondo-ing and see what happens.

Jeans !!! Oh after kondo'ing at least 20 pairs :eek: I have 14 pairs left :eek:
That includes coloured skinny jeans. Oh god thats far too many no wonder I am in break down mode


I am going to ask the same question on bras how many do you have please ? As this is another area which is bothering me

You are veering from the straight and narrow with these questions of 'how many' ;-) the question is 'do they spark joy'. You can keep all of them, as long as they make you happy.

8 , two black, two coloured, two white and two skin tone (and two different styles :rotfl: I am fairly boring )

Just over a dozen bras (after KMing some) - one cream, one plain black and the rest coloured (inc mauve, purple, fuschia silk, red , peach with hot pink spots and others) ALL have matching knickers/ thongs (2 or 3 pairs for each bra, varying styles for each bra if poss) I have a couple of pairs of pink and black knickers which I love and which the washing machine ate the matching bra - I wear those in bed with a vest top I also have some plain black lacy thongs/ Brazilian cut knickers for wearing with corsets.

Am I missing something here, just been tesco and they were selling packs of blank video tapes, DH is now convinced he is right to have hung on to all thos videos as they are making a comeback! Strange that they don't sell video players isn't it. Unless they are suddenly going to come back all retro like the vinyl players have.

4 pairs of bras, 7 pair of pants that match. They dont take much washing and when i go away i just hand wash them.
