    Kitchen cupboards annoying me tonight.
I now have 2 bags full for charity and a bag full for the bin. Loving the semblance of order in the cupboards though. :)

    :) Morning all.

I have picked blackcurrants out of the rucksack. The majority didn't fall out of the tub but, with something as messy and staining as a blackcurrant, a little goes a long way. I had to wipe down or launder several other things from the inside of the bag before washing it - all clean and dry now.

The tiresomeness of this task reminded me of the many and varied tiresomenesses of dealing with excess, clutter and carp. How you struggle to find things, knock things off overcrowded surfaces, break things, buy replacements for things you already own but cannot find.

The list of negativity is nearly endless, when you come to think about it. And the expenses both financial and on your nerves...........!

Yup, the Way of the Kondo is the way for me.

Got a fair few things to do today, one of which is to spend some time communing with my allotment, probably late this afternoon. I have learned my lesson in respect of spent broad bean stems. In previous years, I have piled them up and waited for the burn ban to come off on 1st October. And found that the interval between getting them up and disposing of them allows them to get soaked and then they have trouble burning. Plus the ground where they were formerly piled is now under cultivation. So, having learned from Dad, I have bound them into sheaves with natural fibre string, propped them up in such a way as the air will get to them and keep them dry-ish, and will burn them in the sheaves.

Can't compost the amound of organic waste material the allotment produces as am not willing to give up a lot of ground to large compost bins, just the smaller one for my kitchen scraps.

Using my brain to save my back, loving it.

Well that's me finally finished Kondoing my clothes. This has included my shoes, bags and also toiletries as the first few drawers in my chest of drawers was full of toiletries.

Tomorrow afternoon I plan to do a sort of 'spring clean' of my bedroom by pulling the bed out and hovering under it; washing windows etc.

:rotfl:Cracked up, with the vision! like Wendy from Peter Pan!

Bet there are plenty of us that could do with a hover-mower to deal with the fluff under the bed! ;)

Mav, a long-lost sister you actually could be  , but sadly, you're probably too young. :o

Now your DH is back, if you fancy your own trip, west of Offa's Dyke, you're welcome to come and help me kondo! (i'll even hire a skip! :rotfl: ) Or, I'll come and help you do your pond... can't find my own at the mo! :D

Going to spend this weekend packing discarded Stuff into the car, for off-loading on Monday - cannot stand any junk in the car (but never clean it! :wall:) I can see this leading to more random kondoing, as I try to pack as much into the car, as possible!

  • Glad I gave you all a laugh. I hadn't realised my typo until Igamogam quoted it earlier. Gave me a chuckle too so not going to bother going in to edit it.

Hi there. Haven't been on here for a long long time and haven't done much lately,but...........when putting away hubbies work clothes which were Kondoed ages ago I find they are still tidy and organised. Shock horror, it works. He is also wearing things he hasn't worn for ages because they are available rather than screwed up in a drawer.
    All good stuff.
Can't wait to get to paperwork-Have mislaid my driving licence and whilst searching the whole house realised there is a lot of shredding material around.
    All good stuff.

On my way back from hols. Can't wait to see what DD has done in my absence. There are several things in my (very small) suitcase which will go once laundered.

My SIL is a Konvert and so is her DS "I like this, mummy" he said, "it makes it easy to get rid of stuff" :T

Mini Kondoing going on as I deep clean the livingroom. The rug is outside freshening up before steaming and donating. So far half a dozen komono in the donation bag. OH's laptop now has a home when it's here. A standard lamp that I like but not enough for this space has been moved and, oh yes, about a kg or two of dust, bits of birdseed (not sure how it got underneath the couch on the other side of the room??) and some feathers. Am now finding homes for the remainder which are dust free and joyous and then I'll have time to sit down and Kondo the pile of paperwork that was scattered before ...
    Looking ahead
