So you've not Kondoed the DeLorean yet then, Doc?! ;) :rotfl:

    Sorry, couldn't resist... :p:o
:rotfl:PMSL, so funny, I edited the post. Shows what happens when you get tired on the allotment.

You can have a bit of fun if called by a bloke from an Indian call centre who gives you an improbably english-sounding name at odds with his accent. I say something like Is that you, Ajay* and does your mother know you're calling strange English ladies?

I am sure I heard one guy's jaw drop and he hung up on me without another word. *Workable with any popular Indian first name.

Good morning little mini me listers
I had such a laugh last night with a friend who helped me clear out the flat for my relative who is moving next week.
I talked about the cold callers and the tips on here to deal with them.
He said he just starts singing ' telephone songs' like stevie wonders
I just called to say I love you' or Lionel Richie ' Hello Is t me your looking for' ha ha. His bro was once asked who provides his gas the answer was last nights curry! Apparently he has the dubious talent of passing wind or belching to order...and does so....down the phone:rotfl:
Eee I laughed about it all night!

Good luck with km today everyone.
I have to say my newly acquired km skills has so helped me packing up the rellies stuff all rolled and packed and I've been given carte Blanche to discard stuff not needed
Maybe I should wear a white blazer when I'm kondoing their stuff:rotfl: well maybe not:D
Have a great day all :T

Oh, and don't bother with the white blazer - would you ever wear it again? Bet it wouldn't bring you joy anyway - all that extra laundering!

I love this thread! There's usually someone here to start the day with a laugh! Thanks, Jinny! :rotfl:

I've got to sort out and email some 'legal wrangle' paperwork this morning... then I can kondo the BP, and get on with some more joyful kondoing. ;)

The piles of books and komono that I have been sorting are so annoying that I may just chuck them in boxes (as I don't have a skip!) to go. KM is going so slowly here. I really want to clear some more space. :)

I think I'll have another coffee and some thickly buttered toast. I haven't quite 'got going' yet! (Feel more like my grandmother everyday!):rotfl:

Thanks hun ... the other problem is that our house needs decorating and various bits of DIY doing, some of which OH has started but not finished. This makes me feel that no matter what I do its never going to look great. I am rubbish at DIY and anyway I do all the housework as it is. Sigh.

And yes, mine is much loved too, just so flippin laid back its untrue!

Unfortunately, I can't blame an OH - all my DIY komono is down to my own over-blown ambitions! :D

A few years ago, I made it a rule that I would complete each craft project, before starting the next. I think that discipline has washed over into other areas now, which is why I lose patience with kondoing - I just want all the carp out NOW! Even when I get tired or ache, I have to reach a natural 'stop' point, I can't just leave it. But it still means that Stuff has to be left hanging around for a while which makes me

Anyway, 'this won't get the baby a new bonnet', so onwards and upwards! Good luck everyone!

Oh you lot have cheered me up no end. Maybe these blokes were all related in some previous life.

I need to keep ploughing away at the paperwork. Even though I generated 3 bags of shredded paper yesterday the office looks no different which is probably why this feels like hard work.

I am going to tidy the kitchen, walk the dog then dedicate an hour to more paperwork sorting/shredding. Will see how I feel after that.

Well I've been on a bit of a stuff buying spree this week. But I had my LBM of what I actually want to do in life. One is animal rescue volunteering (at the moment I donate money because I have no time) and the other is something more artistic than my current job. So I've been stocking up on a small stash of art supplies. I'm hoping the latter may bring in enough income so I can stop working (or at least reduce my hours) and give some time to the former. And because of Kondoing, I was easily able to pop all the supplies I need into an already empty drawer in my desk.

In other KM efforts, I washed THREE loads of old towels ready to give to our local shelter next week. And the sun came out despite the forecast, so they're all out drying on the line and making me happy to look at. Mostly because I know they're going. :rotfl:

I don't know why I'm still surprised about it, but isn't it great how the Kondoing leaks over into other areas? I no longer have to carry a huge basket of clean laundry upstairs, terrified it'll topple over and need to be dealt with again. Maybe because I know there's room for things to go and because I don't need to waste time on deciding where to put things, it's just really simple to put them away quickly. Right now I've one load on the airer and one in the machine and that's it. Normally I'd be slogging through heaps of clothes. Much easier.
    Looking ahead

I know just what you mean Susan - I find I no longer put off taking clean laundry upstairs, because it seems to take no time to put it away now :)

We had a summer fete at church today. I was a bit worried as I knew I'd feel I ought to buy something, and I desperately didn't want to bring any "stuff" home. It was okay though - I was able to buy a plant, and some cake to bring home. I even planted the plant in the front garden as soon as I got home, so it's not hanging around needing to be watered every day until I either get around to planting it or it dies! And we've already eaten the cake.
