Thank you everyone :A for your inspirational posts: it's so helpful when things get on top of me and I feel I'll never get the work done.

I haven't managed to do much kondo work for a couple of days (unless you count kondo-ing some money into the vet's Ferrari account :rotfl: ). It was such a lovely day today that I took the dogs for a walk in the woods instead of doing work in the house since heavy rain is forecast for tomorrow.

As others have said, the bits that have been Kondo-ed stay looking good and are easy to maintain. It's actually a joy to look into my wardrobe now, and my handbag and keys get put away tidily on the wardrobe shelf - if I'm feeling extra nice I even thank them! :)

The rest of the place is such a mess that I can't put things into a heap for sorting yet, so I have to tackle little bits at a time, and hope to be able to do it 'properly' when I've made a bit of a clearance. I do find it very useful to remind myself that I'm selecting joyful things to keep and not things to discard - it's such a simple change of mindset, but really powerful and liberating. And then all the things which no longer bring me joy can go and take joy to someone else :T

    I've been Money Tipped!
Plugging away at my fabric and sewing stuff. I was looking forward to it, but finding it hard going actually! I hope I reach my goal of only having one box of fabric in the loft but looking unlikely - hopefully once I have folded it nicely and stacked it vertically al la Marie, it will fit!

My sewing threads, however, are beautifully organised in a box from dark to light, and I've chucked loads of old wool.

Well the plumber I was expecting never showed, so I looked at all the pipes again and it turns out two pipes under the kitchen sink had completely come apart!! The water from the sink, washing machine and dishwasher has been running under the flooring from the kitchen through the hall and into my daughters room:eek:
I bought a fitting for the grand sum of 2.59 and fixed it myself, it seems ok, but I haven't dared put the dishwasher on yet!
The km side of things is that because I had already done that cupboard it was easy to move the two containers and reach the pipes. Wouldn't have been a few weeks ago:)

Ooh lovely drawers. Your photo reminded me that I had been showing my drawer !!!!!! in the office yesterday. One of my colleagues was so impressed that I wrote down the book details and told her to come and join you friendly lot.

She loved the samosa carrier bags as well. Maybe she will be another Konvert.

Thank you. I must admit I do like my aprons! :o
I bought a lovely one last week (the pink with white spots), it's 50s style, flares out at the waist and I love it. I was very good though, because when I got home I put an apron I've never loved into the charity bag. :T

I must admit I don't love all my tea towels but I need them until I can find some replacements. I have been looking but not found any I love yet and I no longer want to make do! :)

Clutterfree do you wear your aprons a lot? I always have at least one but never ever use them..... Have one that I really like but it doesn't get any use, looks pretty hung up though, would like to start using it rather than letting it go, I do envy your collection, won't add to my lone one, just might make the effort to use it this week:)

    Yes, every day!
I wear them doing housework (my less fave ones get used when I'm cleaning the bathroom in case of bleach splashes!) :o , when I'm cooking and my fave ones I wear when baking. Tbh I put one on as soon as I'm dressed in case I spill make up on me or breakfast! :o
Perhaps I'm just a mucky pup! :rotfl:
If you knocked on my front door, I'd say you've a 90% chance of me opening the door wearing my apron! :D
