Welcome Dancemum my flyfriend, you'll love it here.

Mav fingers crossed for your DHs interview.

I have an interview at lunchtime today so kondoing will need to wait until after that. If I get the job it will give me a huge push to get as much done before I start as possible as I would have a lot less time.

For now though changing cat beddring as they have been kondoing fleas since they were 'treated' yesterday'.

OH has surprised me yet again. After saying that he would give my new way of storing his clothes a go (kondo folded and rolled) but not being too hopeful, he has now taken the time to earn how I did it.

Not a lot done yesterday but did get up to date with the ironing which was then all folded and put away. Went through the odd sock bag with the girls and culled all of the odd ones which have been in there for years and just kept the newer ones until they sort out their rooms. If that does not bring their partners to light then they will be thrown as well.

OH has a habit of having several items of clothing on the go at the same time, 2 or 3 t-shirts, a couple of pairs of trousers/shorts and a couple of long sleeved tops. All of these usually get piled up in a heap on top of the blanket chest at the foot of the bed. He does not like putting them back in the drawers with all of the clean clothes. I know which battles to pick with him and this is not one of them. I decided to put an over the door hanger on his wardrobe door and hang these items from that. It does spoil the clean lines of the bedroom but I much prefer it to the untidy pile getting in the way of the blanket chest.

Taught the girls the towel and bedding folding and storage system in the airing cupboard which they both liked. They still think I am going slightly mad with all of this espresso the "does this bring me joy" part.

Three more bags ready for the charity shop today. Just need to go through my cleaning cloths and put all of the past it ones into the rag bag for them. It all adds to the weight for them and means less rubbish in my bin.
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.

Thanks for the welcome. A busy week for appointments here so I have started small. I have done DS2's coats.

Kondoed the table linen as it was a nice easy category as already stored together. Only a few bits thanked and ready to pass on (they were from my grandma's house but I have not used them so I feel better that they can go to somebody else as I have other things to remember her by which I do use). Folded all table clothes and stacked Kondo style so I can see them all now and hopefully will not just use the 2 on the top anymore.

Hello all,I have been following this thread and kindled the book ,which I then devoured and have revisited a few times.A plan was in place and a few bags kondoed ,there is now a little heap ready for CS.
Unfortunately I had an argument with a runaway car a few weeks ago and have a painful knee, badly bruised legs and a detached tendon on a finger-the latter means no work for several weeks.
Slow kondo in progress but no further than the door as I can't drive yet -looking for the silver lining but can't quite see it yet!!
I do have lovely friends who have taken it in turns to take me to hospital appointments, and shopped for me,perhaps they are my silver lining.
Very slowly I have managed to sort and shred some paperwork yesterday and did a small amount of ironing this morning, flipping splint gets in the way.I cancelled 2 magazine subscriptions this morning ,so less tat coming in.
I am having trouble with a flickery S$y reception and am loathe to pay £60 either for new box or engineer call out so I will look into free$at,hoping to save a bit more money before retiring later this year.
    Take care all

Well that worked, did a morning as a volunteer and cane away tonight with the promise of two extra days of paid work in a couple of weeks.
Going to pop into the attic for a TV box i spotted up there - we gave the TV away a few years ago do don't need the box.
Not really kondoing more like decluttering but will see what else up there calls to me.

    Hello Mrssnowy :)
Sounds like a painful argument! Hope you recover quickly. Sounds like you have some very lovely friends looking after you.
Perhaps the time off will help you think about what you want from your kondo-ing? Don't worry about doing too much yet, don't overexert yourself or aggravate any injuries. These little bits of tidying will help in the long run so even if it's not leaps and bounds of progress it'll be small steps.
