The KonMarie method

Deffo not going to archery after work tonight so will potter at the homestead and perhaps watch some of a DVD series I have on loan from my brother, so it can be decluttered back to him at the end of the month. That counts as kondo-ing, right?:rotfl:.

Hi Konverts
Been busy kondoing again today
So I reckon 2 weeks and I should be done

Your whirlwind approach has made me think.
I'm the iQueen of Procrastination. Most things, that I put off, are completed, at a furious rate, at the last minute! They are usually to a high standard, so I think I need the urgency to fire me up.
I think I need to set a deadline! :rotfl:
Although nothing brings me joy like my knicker drawer still:rotfl:
I also took another tip from elsewhere and soaked some dried out baby wipes in softer, then dried them and placed them in various drawers. Now when you open the drawer everything smells lovely.

I lurve my clothes drawers, too. Still beautifully tidy. :j
Great tip, thanks! :T That will work well, until I 'find' my sewing machine and can whip up some lavender bags. (Am@zon sell the dried flowers.)mrs-moneypenny wrote: »Morning all
...as well as knit up a ball of wool from the stash. Sort of kondoing.
Definitely, kondoing! Instead of a space-consuming stash, it is on the way to a proper home!
I think I need to get knitting some baby clothes for my second Grandbump, due in about 6 months. I've got a list of (unstarted!) projects piling up, which will kondo some of my yarn mountain.
I kondoed unfinished projects a couple of years ago, and don't start a new one until the current project is finished (and in use!)
But... somewhere in the house... I know I have two unfinished projects... from about 25+ years ago!
I've had to cancel an appointment today, so I have a free day for kondoing! I'm off to see how close I can get to my target for today!Needs, NOT wants!
No food waste since November 2010. :j

Right then, I've ordered the book at the library, might take a while though as I am #39 in the queue. It would appear that he good people of Hertfordshire are also wanting to do some Kondo-ing. Hopefully the charity shops will do well from it!
I have temporarily decluttered DD to pre-school and DS to bed for a snooze. In the last 30 minutes I have fixed the IKEA chest of drawers that I built 1 part back to front and upside downthe drawers all now sit properly :j
DH is away all week on a course so I am a lone parent, such fun  I intend to get loads done whilst he's away so instead of watching TV in the evenings and drinking tea I will sort and clear the room of doom and build the IKEA desk in there so that I can have a proper place for the printer and laptopthis also means that the front room will be cleared also as that is where the flat pack boxes have currently sat for the last 3 weeks. I will let you know how it goes and if I meet my objective.
Over the weekend I kondo'd my boxes of shoes and over half of them went to the charity shop along with some clothes that almost jumped out of the wardrobe. I received a new wedge of O*fam bag tags so I can hopefully collect some more Necter points should my stuff sell so I have a bag under the stairs for bits and bobs to be collected in as I find things to be donated.
Wish me luck in a speedy email that the book is ready for me but I feel with 4 copies and 38 people in front of me it may take a whileWhether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
All ironing has been done, all items needing folding or rolling done just need to put the a way now.
Mentioned to Dh that I noticed a TV box in the attic when I was up there, he said that can go and reminded me we gave the TV to DD3 when she moved out 3 years ago. So another foray into the attic is due before Friday so the box can go in recycling.SPC~12 ot 124

I've got one of the Hertfordshire copies, will return it by the end of the week. I was #26 in the queue and it didn't take long to be at the top, people must read it and kondo it back to the library asap. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Any suggestions please? Our built in wardrobes are Sharps. We don't have drawers in them we have open box like shelves. There is a lot of empty space behind the kondo-ing of OH's tops be it golf polo's or t-shirts. Drawers wouldn't pull out very far as oart of one side of shelves is inside opening of door. Need something that will fit inside but not completely on one side. Not sure this makes a lot of sense to you as describing not very good! :rotfl:0

Marie Kondo always recommends SHOE BOXES...would this do to home the tshirts/ poloshirts?0 -
iQueen if you are the iQueen of Procrastination I promise you I was the Capital AQueen of Procrastination !
But I had hypnotherapy about 2.5 years ago and it has so helped me so muchI still slip back now and again but no where near where I was.
I could never ever even get out the door on time and I really thought I was having some kind of breakdown (TBH I think I was)
My DH still says it was the best money we had ever spent
So now once I get stuck in I get it done.
Today I have had a really bad migraine so havent done a lot. But organised the charity to collect my old sofa they only collect in my area on Wednesday so rather than have it hanging around for another week its going in the morning.
But the catch is my new one is coming on Thursday so my lounge will really please Konmarie for 24 hours :rotfl:
But I thought in the 24 hours I can give it a really good clean with nothing to get in the way.Every cloud has a silver lining I suppose !
Anyway onwards and upwards keep going everyone some really amazing results.
