Kondo reviewed DHs trousers with him this morning. Been wanting and waiting for ages so very pleased. Identified he owned 4 pairs that were too small, so added to the charity shop bag, rag bag and craft stash with six pairs of trousers out of his drawers!

He now has a nice Kondo folded trouser drawer with all his non formal pairs in it. Sadly I couldn't persuade him to go into the t shirt drawer next but at least this helps reduce our floordrobe stash a bit further.

Also cleared his shoes (he owns a handful of pairs so was super quick but still two pairs out) and reviewed my handbag stash (only one leaver but better than nothing). Also clearing out my clothes bit by bit so we've nearly filled two more bags for the CS :)

:) Lots of great activity going on here.

I visited with a pal for an hour or so for a natter on my way back from a lovely walk in the woods. We were chatting about various subjects and it turns out that I'm the second of her friends to have joined the kult; the other lady lives in another part of the country and we don't know each other. It's spreading, I tell you, it's spreading.

Pal offered me some shelving units which she isn't using and I declined on grounds of having nowhere to put them, in the flat or in my shed, and suggested she try freecycling them, which she thinks she will do. Later on, I considered what I would have put onto them, had I room to set them up at my place and the answer was ..... err ..... I dunno!

:o I don't live in a white-painted box with only a couple of changes of clothes, very far from it, but it's come to the point where I'd struggle to find stuff to fill a 6ft x 3ft shelving unit, which is a happy thought.

Still continuing to use up stuff I already own, and to make good use of my library and to turn things around. I don't want too much old stuff crowding out the new and interesting stuff I could be getting my nose into.

Tomorrow is bin day so will aim to get my once-a-week small carrier bag of rubbish out to the communal bins tonight, plus have already had a luxurious bath, so the evening is all to play for.

Actually, better stop faddling about and get in that kitchen as there's a vat of chili which needs to be made and that, with a few changes, will see me fed for the rest of the week.

    Keep on kondo-ing, lovely peeps.

I am currently witnessing the infectious nature of Kondoing.

As previously posted I have persuaded OH to Kondo his clothes and books. Today with no input from me he has taken it upon himself to Kondo all of his carp oops Komono from the top of his c o d. Once he did that he then pulled all of the bedroom furniture out hoovered under it all put it back then polished. :D

Hopefully this will continue when I eventually start the paperwork.
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.

:j Wow, either it really is contaigous or someone has stolen your other half and replaced him with a lookee-likee. Brilliant!

Just bagged up the library books I shall drop back on my way home from work tomorrow, will aim to read another one which is half-gone (fast reader here) and see if that can go with this batch.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I visited the facilites and my friend has ranger rolled her towels (I showed her how a couple of months ago).

    Hi Konverts :D
Been busy kondoing again today :D Paint cupboard of doom done and loads of space to keep dust sheets in there now  Which were taking up another drawer and they are now all together for when I have to give the walls a bit of TLC.

The medication (sort) of cupboard has been done and also has loads of space.
Done all the ironing today and there was loads and I really mean that ! I am now going to go back though my clothes as the kondo'd drawers of perfectly folded on end items are slightly crammed in now which I really dont like. Oh how this week has changed me :o

    10 kitchen cupboards
    3 kitchen drawers
    1 loft
    1 freezer
TO GO and my house is finished :)

Then have the garage and what we call the dollshouse which is a brick built shed thingy which looks like its name a mini house. But I did sort that not so long ago as I put all the chickens feed etc in there.
So I reckon 2 weeks and I should be done :)

I did my bedside drawers today. I took everything out, sorted into type, disposed of old makeup and all sorts. I used some plastic containers I already had and cut the top and bottom from a Weetabix box to make containers to fit, one now holding nail files perfectly. I hated those drawers but now they are lovely to look at.

Although nothing brings me joy like my knicker drawer still:rotfl:

I also took another tip from elsewhere and soaked some dried out baby wipes in softer, then dried them and placed them in various drawers. Now when you open the drawer everything smells lovely.

    Morning all

Very pleased to already be noticing a little difference in the dining room since starting paperwork. Good thing is with a busy week it is a good section to just do a little at a time with. I've done CC statements, moving onto bank statements next.

:) Morning all. Feeling very ruff as the cold has kicked in with a vengance and I've had little sleep - been up since 5-ish and awake long before that.

Deffo not going to archery after work tonight so will potter at the homestead and perhaps watch some of a DVD series I have on loan from my brother, so it can be decluttered back to him at the end of the month. That counts as kondo-ing, right?:rotfl:

Finished the book I was reading so that's added to the heavy bagful which is leaving today as I can visit the library on the way home from w*rk. When you consider how much five books weigh, makes you realise how insane it is to move house with excess and unjoyful books.

Gosh, they're so darned heavy anyone would think they're made of condensed wood or something.:p

I have taken a couple of minutes whilst the kettle was boiling to add the second coat of varnish to the threshold, so will be able to return the materials to my storage shed later today and liberate the living room floor. I will also *quivers with excitement* have laundry to fold down off the airer.

Keep on at it, lovely peeps, so and steady wins the day.

    Hope everyone is well
I'm kondoing my ironing pile this morning, and if I gave time after thT I will make a start on the mending pile. At the very least I need to sew a couple of badges of DS2s explorer shirt.
I did kondo a large amount of weeds from the garden yesterday as well as knit up a ball of wool from the stash. Sort of kondoing.

Yes it does! Took some time out to read a book yesterday which is not something I usually do but seeing as it was a bank holiday, thought it OK to have some time away from the jobs list. The book belongs to someone else so it can be passed on to its rightful owner next week. Have a few more belonging to the same person so slowly making my way through them.

Cleared out herb/spice baskets last night and washed the baskets. Will keep out a few which are past their use by date and make some interesting meals this week! Found some duplicates too so the emptier ones will stay in the baskets and the others in the spares box.

Will clear out the other half of that shelf later on today.
