I agree - keeping things 'for best' or 'just in case' is fatal, but there's a real possibility she could use the bike so it's worth waiting to find out. If she doesn't need it - you know what to do!Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0

I'd keep the bike, but get it re-brake-padded quickly, you never know when it'll be needed in a hurry and best it's ready to roll at a moment's notice.
I'd second the advice about 'bottom drawer' for students. Most of them will need such things and you can save money now by putting them aside from domestic overflow/ carefully gathered bargains.
Have re-surfaced to face the work-week, place is somewhat bearable now, with piles of clean linens on top of the furniture. Only one towel seems to have sustained permanant damage, fortunately it's a not-particularly-special hand-towel, so could have been worse, all things considered.
The inconvenience brought to light a mattress topper, one of those faux fleece ones, not used in a decade, 2 small tablecloths and 2 pairs of curtains, none of which got the slightest bit wet but all of which got kondo'd outta here at the weekend. So, when the airing cupboard is fit to be re-used, there will be more space inside, good coming out of bad.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

greent - am in a similar situation with dss. He is going to uni as a mature student after various bit jobs and now 2 yrs in Oz. He'll be accompanied by Aussie gf. They aren't even back in this country until August so we can't discuss things with them! I have started a box of bits which may well morph into various boxes! But I know what to do with it all come september!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Lol, I can relate to this. I was checking the pockets of a jacket prior to donation a few months ago and found a small chocolate bar. The little joys in life, hey?

Morning all I hope everyone is well and had a good weekend
Kondoed a toilet roll holder to the metal skip at DH works this morning as we now have space on the shelf for all the neatly stacked toilet rolls.
I tried to kondo my knitting wools at the weekend but none got decluttered as they all bring me too much joy - bonus is they are now all together, ottoman full of general wool and baby wools all snuggled together in a box as they will be needed first. I do know for a fact there are more balls in the attic but sorting that is for another day.
I agree with what everyone else has said the bike is too potentially useful to your DD and you never know when it could come in handy. Also the tea towels can go in a uni bottom drawer.SPC~12 ot 124

I found a fiver in the pocket of my collapsible picnic coolbox! Anyone else find money? Should we start a running total?:)
When my purse has loads of change in it and it's heavy, I usually sling the coins in the nearest drawer. So far I've found over £18.....go me:T0 -
I found a wallet DH had put away with £75 in and when doing the cards, I found a birthday card for DS1 with £5 in and a wedding anniversary card for us with £20 in. Really pleased and I was honest and gave finds to their intended.
Anni money took us out for a meal Saturday nightSPC~12 ot 124
