I have the same problem as a couple of people on here with having a few dresses that don't fit me. They are summer ones and as it's getting warmer I tried them today but they are all too tight across the chest. I will wait to see how they fit in a couple of weeks as I'm on a diet at the moment.

  • Well done everyone clearing their lofts and garages (glad I don’t have a loft, I know it would be stuffed full). Fortunately we rent out the garage so it’s out of bounds for our stuff.
To those who are flagging, well tomorrow’s another day. :)

White Satin, I hope you get your referral soon, I know what you mean about books.
After a week (or is it two?) of attempting to sort the books I’ve decided to skip it for now. In fact I think I’ll leave them to second last (before photos). It’s just too hard and it’s holding me up.

My love of books aside, part of the problem is that a couple of shelves in our bookcase have also been used to store old cassette tapes. In fact I found my old Sony Walkman (young people may need to Google that).Well the joy that gave me was off the scale. Daft I know and I need to take a more logical approach. Not just yet though.

I’m moving on to paperwork, can’t see that causing too much pain and then what I really want to get cracking on Komono.

    Afternoon all.
Deposited a big bag of recycled paper went into the recycling skip. The shredded paper can't go in the recycling skips, but it's cross cut tiny confetti bits so I will mix it in with the general rubbish that goes down the bin chute.
I pulled a skirt out of the wardrobe today (never worn, 2nd hand), accepted I will likely never wear it and will add it to the charity pile. There's a constantly filling box at present, as soon as one lot has left for the charity shop/ HWRC the box is refilling. Need to get on and list some stuff on Ebay but I'm being rather slow with this. Furniture only needs photos and description, other stuff needs postage working out. I also have a telescope to sell which I might try on the noticeboard at work. Posting it anywhere would be a serious headache. Otherwise I might see if I can take it to an optics shop. I know that there's one at Slimbridge WWT and I'll be going past it on my way to Devon at Easter so I might try to stop in.

I tidied my tall shelves in the kitchen at the weekend. This is where the large jars of flour etc are kept but the had got really messy.

Everyone just seemed to dump the stuff they couldn't be bothered to put away. My OH who likes to cook keeps his spices on the shelves but tends to leave them all over the place. I had a brain wave and put all his jars into a basket that had been moved from upstairs and was waiting to either be reused or go to CS.

I went into the kitchen when I got home from work tonight and it struck me that it still looked tidy. Everything in its place! I am cooking tonight so it will STILL be tidy after tea.

    This kondoing is great!

Did my shoes this afternoon, I feel the love for all of them but four pairs don't love me back they hurt like heck so they are in the CS bag in the hope they will find someone they fit who will take them out and enjoy them without feeling like they are wearing vices on their feet!

Got another box out of the loft today, its full of card making bits, another hobby I started but did not continue. Have sorted out the best bits and got rid of the rubbish. All hobby boxes kondoed, next will be kitchen equipment in the loft, I'll clear one box at a time as I do not want too much stuff messing up the home now its reasonably tidy and I find its easier to do one box a day.

Not much indoor kondoing done today
but hose removed from wall lots of plant things sorted and will go down allotments tomorrow with a help yourself note on it - if they dont want it I am adding a note with contact details (will use my free cycle phone) and so my phone number is not give out - might just put stuff at allotments to be honest

much other garden stuff that I dont think they will want has gone in the bin

I have not got chemicals to discard as I refuse to use them in the garden - which is good because the way I am kondoing I would have loads I just know it

but what would we do with garden chemicals is there anywhere to take them for those that do want to get rid of such stuff

so both insideand outside of my house are being done - the weather here was just too good to work indoors BUT tomorrow it will rain - tomorrow I am back in the bedroom working on night clothes and tops - those are mostly done as I went through the dicard process just want to wash it all before I fold and put back so I will wash and put in the bathroom on the rack to dry

    so tomorrow all sorted :)

Well, the front garden is looking better now that we have had it done. Much tidier and easy to keep. I suppose the same rules apply outdoors as indoors. I was having shingle put down to make it easier to maintain and whilst I wanted to keep the established shrubs etc., I let go of the random tulips and other things that, although pretty, prevented the overall plan from being put in place. I suppose I should have asked him to give them to me to plant elsewhere but I know it wouldn't happen anyway.

Meanwhile, I was stuck indoors today trying to rest so I decided to try and finish off the baby cardigan I am making for my newest grandson. Didn't quite manage it but, looking around, all my craft stuff really needs "the treatment". Maybe not quite yet, but soon.

    whitesatin your garden sounds lovely

The bits of the house I have kondoed are still looking good - still neat and tidy. I made a microwave cake and having put all the different flours in plastic containers it was so quick and easy to find what I needed. No more half used packets in the cupboard:j
