Art shops or Ken Bromley online, often stock pencil extenders  so you can use them to the last half cm! :T
Get thee behind me, satan! I'm Not Buying It, too. These are vanilla HB pencils, not fancy art ones, so I won't be doing that. But it might come in handy for someone; whatever will they think of next?!

So you know the box of shoes and 7 sacks of clothes I KonMaried over the past two weekends - Daddy Rivett took them to work and came back with £41.50 from Cash4Clothes store.

mirry - I keep my spare pens (much needed as DS regularly loses his at school) in some takeaway containers in a drawer.
Well, I had a burst of energy & decided to go up into the loft. I'm shattered now but I've got rid of so much stuff (I'm hoping I'll feel the benefit in the morning!) A lot of the stuff left up there is bagged up stuff to sell & seasonal items in storage - which is what I want the loft to be used for - not just a dumping ground. There are still a couple of plastic storage containers with things that maybe could go so I will take a look at them in a couple of weeks.
I have some crockery stored in the loft - I only keep a few settings downstairs. I did a first cull but there's plenty more that could go. I've also got a lot of glasses - I'm having a little party in a few weeks time so will use them then & donate most of them afterwards.Shifting my energy for 20200 -
For all those Kondoites who are decluttering cosmetics, 'lotions and potions ' and perfumes etc ......be aware they do have a shelf life once opened. There is usually a symbol on the side of the bottle/jar/pot with a number 6,12,24 with denotes how many months 'life' the contents has once opened. Old toiletries can smell 'off' - worth a sniff before you decide to keep! I don't wear make up I am told that old cosmetics also a breeding ground for bacteria :eek:Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

:T Well done Daddy Rivett!
My Dad was chatting with me whilst we were waiting for my bus about how he's had a very good coat which was my Grandad's in his wardrobe since GD died (1999) and can't see himself ever wearing it. Not because it's no good, it's like new, but because he already has more than enough. How many coats is a man already in his seventies likely to need in one lifetime? He volunteered that; apropro of nothing, and I was quietly pleased.
I'm going to encourage him to register as a gift aid donor at the cancer research chazzer at their town, which he can do as still pays a bit of income tax. Mum is a cancer survivor and it seems fitting that excess should go towards that cause.
I'm getting good use out of the warmer items in my work wardrobe, which will have their time in the next couple of months, then take a rest in the drawers for lighter-weight office-y things to have their turn. I'm consiously thinking about what I have, and trying to use it all.
Although all my clothes fit into a 5 drawer COD or on a 3 ft long hanging rail, I still seem to have plenty.
Does anyone else get a secret thrill about seeing gaps where there used to be Stuff, and glimpsing the bottoms of drawers, the back of cupboards etc. And sneaking regular peeks at it, just to make sure that it's not a delusion?Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Agree with you GQ on the spaces. Have a shelf in my wardrobe that is virtually empty. I am not sayin it won't get used but I am enjoying it at the moment.
Have also done a mini sort on DS room. He now has an empty under bed space. 2 big bags of unopened toys to take to CS. He doesn't want them and is happy for them to go for other children. Lego will be a different matter we have loads!De cluttering Konvert.Getting there

Bought a new cod from a CS on Saturday. Delivered today. It's an ikea malm with 4+2 drawers. Works out you can fit 3 cd boxes in each small
Drawer. It is a bit too modern for me really and needs painting to match the rest of the furniture. I would like to do it properly and add crystal knobs to match the wardrobes but that involves drilling, so deliberating whether to kondo the old cod and put this on in its place. And paint it at a later date0 -
I've been Konverted too
kondo'd my Ts (long & short sleeve & vest tops). Pleasantly surprised by the space efficiency and I like being able to see everything. Have begun getting rid of things past their best. Intend to do a more thorough cull once I've lost some more weight.
Whilst I didn't change the way I ball my socks, I did sort my drawer out. Re-appropriated an ikea skubb box to separate trainer socks, got rid of some old ones and now they all fit neatly in the drawer.
Ranger rolled the beach towels, and kondo'd the every day ones.
Decluttering is also underway in the kitchen, hoping to clear work top space for a more streamlined look.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0
