Oooh your drawers are lovely Memory Girl.
I did mine at the beginning of this thread and they have stayed that way ever since. It just makes life so much easier. I may also get rid of some more clothes as I keep looking at them and they are not bringing me joy. However, I will need to replace them as I have to have something to wear to work.
Bathroom is also staying tidy as everything now has a place. People are even putting stuff away and not leaving it all over the place. Towels are neatly folded and all have their own special shelves.
This is such a great feeling and such a relief. I think lots have people have said how stuff weighs you down. Letting it go removes the pressure!
Yay for Kondo and you lovely Konverts.:ADe cluttering Konvert.Getting there

I have lots of pens and pencils as well but they have been sitting in a drawer for the last 6 years at least because DH gave me a beautiful Mont Blanc set which includes pencil, ballpoint, rollerball and fountain pen. They are a joy to write with so I shall be getting rid of all the cheap plastic pens I've been keeping just in case.0

Good Evening All,
Well, I had previously done the photos and i had a massive cull. I thought i only needed to go back over them to sort and date (where poss).
Wow it took me the whole afternoon i had a second and third cull and i still have some to sort and date. I am hoping to get the last of the photos done tomorrow but as Mr Tooties only works until 12 lunch time on a saturday maybe i am being a little too hopeful.
The photos are weighing heavy on me so i want them done.
Keep up the good kondoing folks
regards:j0 -
So far today for me has been all about cutlery and kitchen utensils. I did make a bit of an effort a while ago in this area and bought a nice everyday cutlery set (which we are using) along with new drawer inserts, with the aim to have everything in its place in neat and tidy compartments :rotfl:
Only I never did finish the job off to full satisfaction and retained a lot of the old stuff 'just in case' and quite frankly to fill the shortcomings of the newest set which doesn't have the nice little extra touches such as dessert forks / tea knives and soup spoons that I like.
It has been a cause of much frustration as I ended up with two trays of cutlery rather than one and the second spare stuff was a right old mish mash of two other sets.
Anyway it's all been culled and tidied and I have cleared out a good handful of cutlery, pared down so that the spares are only from the same set rather than a mixture of two; ditched the spare rolling pin, the spare knife sharpener, the second spare ladle and some of the mankier wooden spoons. :T
Having just googled around I found that there are other additions to my newest set available singly, including dessert knives and soup spoons, so I am going to cash in some vouchers and 'treat' myself to these so that I may get shot of the old set completely. :TMortgage

Well the bedroom is a game of two halves right now. My half is kondo'd to within an inch of its life. DHs side? Urgh his drawers are rammed , his wardrobe is even more rammed so the doors don't meet , there are clothes on the floor because they don't fit in anywhere , shoes . It's driving me up the wall , he gets really defensive if I ask him to sort it , then he goes and has a go at it but doesn't actually throw anything away I've offered to do it for him but he has declined my offer  not sure where to go next with it , the more defensive he becomes the less likely he is to sort it ( and the grumpier he gets lol). Oh well I'll keep plugging at him
Going to sort the sideboard in the dining room today , there's a lot of stuff in there that doesn't need to be there at all . Looking forward to sorting that0 -
For the first time since reading the book I've got a clear weekend so I'm going to go #fulloutkondo for the next couple of days. I'm ridiculously excited about it. Also, the penny has just dropped for me that, aside from all the other benefits, if I could reduce the amount of stuff I have to the extent that the spare / box room is back to being a room rather than a storage area - it could be a source of income for me.
We get a lot of language students in the area looking for short term accommodation during school holidays. Since I am planning on leaving my paid employment later this year to pursue my dream of being a self-employed coach / consultant, this would be a useful financial safety net. I feel even more motivated now I have a goal !
See you all later..... :-)Shifting my energy for 20200 -
Sil is coming over soon to take the daybed away so the landing upstairs will be clearer. I'm going to tackle the family history paperwork I have today and I need a peek in the loft as I'm not sure what's up there.
OH has left me a load of carriers to samosa so I shall do those in my breaks. Things are starting to feel a lot more organised nowadays; it's very calming.

I'm signing in to the Saturday Kondo club and hoping to get shoes, accessories and books done today. Telling you guys makes me feel like I am accountable to someone and therefore more likely to get it done
ps -I have deliberately missed the Archers all week so that I can join the 'kondo through the omnibus' club with some of you tomorrow too!0 -
I completely Kondo'd the whole house a couple of weeks ago (apar from photos and the sheds) and it been so tidy!
I got up this morning and it only took 20 mins to clean and straighten the whole house! Its so much quicker and easier to clean with no stuff lying round - I am tidying as I go and its actually beginning to rub off a wee bit on dd and oh.
I rolled all dhs clothes and he was not only suprised but amazed he could find stuff that he thought he didnt have - I didnt sort it (as per the book - only do your own stuff) but hope now that he sees how easy it is to find stuff he might do it.....
DD's wardrobe is still working really well - she hasnt missed any of the stuff she got rid of (in fact - she says she cant even remember half of it!)
Shed tomorrow - mostly oh's stuff but the camping stuff really needs a cull - have even got the girls in my office samosing their carrier bags!Kondo'ed 76 items from wardrobe, 4 carrier bags of books0
