You lot have a lot to answer for! I've had this week off, and your malign influence has led to me being uncharacteristically productive.
I've done the clothes, and they look beautiful. I was delighted to discover that the lovely sturdy banana boxes that my veg box arrives in fit perfectly under the bed. I now have three new matching, under bed drawers for free. Everything has been rationalised (why for example were the jumpers stuffed into the tiny new drawers, rather than the nice old deep ones?!)
I'm going to look out for pretty paper to cover them. Also need to sellotape paper over the holes, keep the spiders out!
I feel better for it. Clothes will require doing again (its the ones that I'm a 1/2 stone from fitting in that are the problem).
Todays plan is the financial paperwork and the cupboard under the sink. Although I'm not feeling very motivated, and am tempted by a walk in the sunshine and making a cake. You know, nice, interesting things. Rather than wondering why I'm idiot enough to get in such a mess in the first place!0 -

Thank you so much for that link
It's not often you see the difference you make with stuff you donate
I was quite moved when I saw the mother and that gorgeous baby sitting at their new dining table. Aaw”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

Decided it was a bit silly to ask myself if something "gave me Joy" when it was already here and in a cupboard etc. and then settle for "It will do" when looking for something special for DD's new home.
I've found that asking myself that question before I buy something has meant that I've been buying so much less. I considered myself a serious Charity Shop addict and almost always came out with something. But now I find that it feels quite easy to come out empty handed.Shifting my energy for 20200 -

Thanks AlwaysAllie
Yesterday I bought some plates from a CS. This morning as I used one at breakfast I was so grateful that whoever owned the plates previously had kondoed them. Rather than gathering dust or getting in the way, they were bringing me joy!
The video AlwaysAllie posted tells a similar story, and it's helping me change my mindset. Instead of feeling guilty about getting rid of things, I'm setting them free to bring joy to othersweaving through the chaos...0 -

If anyone finds a way to rehome biros I would be pleased to know.
Is anywhere at all in need of vast quantity of working biros?
I have heard a few times about people going to Gambia and donating pens and pencils to the schools there as they are very hard for them to get hold of as nobody can afford them. I donated some stuff a while ago to a friend of a friend who had got a huge container and was having all sorts of stuff shipped over there to hand out throughout the villages. Don't know if there is anything like that in your area, but always worth keeping an ear out for anybody who might me going out there. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I have ranger rolled my towels in the bathroom and whilst they are tidy I don't like the look of them so I think I will samosa or fold them later...
I keep my towels in the airing cupboard next to my bed linen. I ranger rolled the towels and flannels but the towels annoy me. They are different sizes and look very awkward. Might have to try samosa-ing them.
My youngest (18) is a slob. I have kondo'd his t's, shorts, joggers and undies and I keep sneaking in to tidy up other bits of messy tosh that now annoy me!0
