Not much on ebay in that style. And the estimate on those ones was $50-$5000 back in 2007. Maybe I should sell it? I guess I should check - I know its damaged, but if it turns out to be worth enough to pay a significant chunk of the new bathroom then I probably don't want to put it on the wall!

Sell it ... then get Mo and Kath at Moka Pottery to make you some handpainted ones???

I think we are all okay with folding now
Basically making a rectangle before rolling or folding
But just for newbies maybe this quick minute long video
Shows how to fold thin strapped vests

I threw my wedding ring into the Thames the day after my divorce papers came through - I found that cathartic - but the dress over a cliff definitely trumps that Jinny. Like you, I get on perfectly well with the ex these days.

I cut the bottom tier off my wedding dress from first attempt, and DD wore it for fancy dress and dressing up for several years. It had a quick ride in the washing machine and my friend's little girl then enjoyed it in her dressing up box for another few years.

I have not seen as Ex since 1984 - might have passed him in a street once, but didn't stop to check as my instinct made me run in the opposite direction. That reminds me, the wedding photo album is in the attic. Lovely photos of my late grandparents in there, the rest needs to go! (especially my 1979 spiral perm photograph!)

I have rolled the joy-sparking towels in the bathroom cupboard now, and have a basket of rolled flannels. I used the basket I had but the flared sides are annoying me. I hope the house produces something soon or I might cave in and buy a straight sided container :naughty:

Does the folding method still work well when you don't have multiple s of the same shaped item?

The videos I've watched just show rows of t-shirts! I don't own many clothes; a few fleeces, long sleeved tops and t-shirts, couple of pairs of trousers etc. Not enough to have nice neat rows of the same thing.

Yes it works, I haven't got many clothes either now, there's room for my T shirts to hang up, jeans in a drawer, jumpers in another drawer. Makes me :)

Had a go at the living room last night and emptied a large display cabinet and a little MFI desk so I'm hoping to sell them at the weekend :T
Am gathering all my photos together - sooo many shoeboxes and albums! Surely some of them can go! Actually last night I printed out a couple from a special event last year, hoping to put them on the wall - I'll have to have a rota system for pictures I think as I have lots that OH has taken and framed too and am running out of wall :rotfl:
Jinny thanks for all the links you're a star :)

Oh WOW! I have just found the art of Ranger Rolling! How have I never known this before!? Thank goodness for YouTube! I have just gone and done all the towels in the bathroom and will be sorting DD and DS's socks too :)

I have known how to samosa a crisp packet for years but I have no idea why I've never transferred that skill to other areas :) I have just samosa'd the plethora of carrier bags stuffed under the sink and I now have so much space!

:( My friend laughed at me when she saw a samosa'd carrier bag and asked if I wanted her to make a sausage to stuff them in :( I told her to sod off because now I have 3/4 a shelf to use for mother under-the-sink-y things :)

    4. Plenty of clothes so we can show to our workmates that we haven't had to wear the same item two days running on account of being a bit of a slapper who didn't make it home to her own bed last night.

Defienetly know people like me when working at the factory as a teenager who kept spare clothes in the boot of car for such times.

I'v done my draw's up stairs, also done my tea towel draw and the flannel's I use in the bathroom, I'm even folding them straight from the dryer to make it quicker when I put them away, otherwise the furry owner think's all open draw's with cloth's in is her bed. OH is woundering what have I thrown out to make room in the towel draw.

This afternoon I went fabric shopping with a friend - she needed fabric, I dont - so I am v proud that I didn't buy any. I just enjoyed looking and helping her choose.

Later, in a charity shop I saw 3 beautiful plates and a retro sewing pattern that my daughter liked the look of. Grand total £2. The first thing I did when I got home was kondo 3 plates out of the cupboard to make room for the new joyous ones.

    I am learning!!
