So I wandered onto to this thread out of interest and ended up reorganising and kondoing my drawers. Who knew a tidy knicker drawer could bring so much joy ?
I worked that one out a couple of weeks ago ;)

And then I spread the love to my mum's knicker-drawer. :D

I sorted out some books for CS and also moved some downstairs into bookcase.

Had tealights in a messy pack and found a plastic small storage bag to put them in neatly so I can see when it gets low at a glance also sorted around some toiletries.

Even found myself wanting to use up turnips in veg box so made huge pot of soup and another pot of turnip, potato and carrot mash to have with sausages and leftover gravy tonight.

Strange how even spending a few minutes a couple of times a day makes a difference in how we think about clutter and storage.

I have tealights in their original wrapper in the drawer, what a good idea to put them in some sort of tidy storage system. Maybe a small plastic basket would work well also. I bought some in the £1 shop the other day, 4 small ones for £1 found loads of ideas to use them so far.

Nothing cleared or sorted today, ds2 had a hospital appointment which lasted most of the day.

I did realise this morning that I need to rekondo my knickers. I looked in my lovely neatly sorted basket and thought " I don't want to wear any of these" some I put back when I had the first sort out and they are too big so will have to go. I have some washing to put away so there will be a few pairs in there to go in the basket.

I am confused what to do with seasonal clothes. I have never separated them in the past but when I look in my drawers there are so many clothes I won't wear till the summer and it doesn't look right. Maybe if I put the summer clothes at the back of the drawer psychologically it might look better:)

Aah, I suppose so....not read the book yet so didn't realise that. I will use the ones I already have then and not buy any more. They will go in the drawers anyway as they are so tiny.

. I find people sometimes buy as gifts items which they would like to have themselves, have you noticed?

Definitely! And I know I've fallen into that trap myself.

This whole process has made me think a lot about the issue of gifts. So many things I'm shedding were gifts and I feel guilty about getting rid of them. It's made me feel I only want to give people things like wine, chocs, flowers etc - that can be enjoyed without creating clutter.

Last night I learned to samosa carrier bags and it made me happy :)
Tonight I un-samosa'd them and filled them with books :rotfl:

Real progress here tonight; DD has gone through her books, CDs and DVDs, we have another 4 boxes for Zapper, she has 3 carriers of books to go to a friend's kids, and maybe another 6 bags for the chazzer :D
Do people still want videos does anyone know? We have lots
I'm starting to think about which bits of furniture could go :)
