Welcome Loudmouth! I often wonder how many people lurk regularly. Post away - how else can we cheer you on!
Dentist attended, local outdoor litter-picking done, twice. On Mrs Dog's second walk I found a carrier bag so I shoved a few more pieces of litter in that, one of which was a 1uc0zade bottle. I'm puzzled by plastic bottles, of which there are usually quite a few cast about - they always, always always have their lids screwed back on, always contain some leftover liquid and are then chucked on the grass. What's with that? Why put the lid back on all neatly and then just chuck it? Anyway, I reckon I've picked up at least six or seven bits of rubbish every day since Boxing Day and the area where I walk Mrs Dog is looking a lot better. Where there is no litter, people don't generally drop much, apparently. It's working! I might have to start varying the route a bit but I haven't had to so far.
I've also flown at the chalet, filled up the bird feeders over there and put the batteries back in the smoke detectors. I know they're sensitive, but come on chaps, if you've taken them out put the batteries back and test them before you leave, please. I've pulled the sofa bed and my single bed away from the walls and set the dehumidifier going again to see if I can stop the mould growing this winter/spring while it's wet and unoccupied. And reset the mouse repellers, all four of them. Little bu**ers - more mouse pooh found behind the sofabed, but not in it this time, thank goodness. Bins shuffled. I can't cope with tiddly bins any more, give me a swing bin every time.
Trusty plumber phoned and in depth discussion had about drains. He's coming to inspect it.Better is good enough.0 -
just done my dress survey, it took slightly longer than i thought. im going back to finish tackling the kitchen now. Plan to be done in there by 5pm.
honeybear that puzzles me as well. we live next to the park so i usually clear litter from our corner if i didnt bother it would probs blow in our garden anyway. (i weed that corner on the same theory because it would all go to seed and blow over the low wall to mine if i left it) Glass is my pet hate, i always try and pick that up before it gets smashed and bung it in the bottle bank.SPC~12 ot 124

Gosh - that's better. Kitchen now sparkly.
Thank you Elastic, Juliejim and Iona - how did you all get on ??
Took a bit longer because I got side-tracked. Had to read the leccy meter today but it was a bit of a mess in the cupboard (mostly DH stuff) so that's now tidy as well and will post readings later. (note to self)
Decided not to have tea today and have early dinner instead so off to make a start on that. I can then have some cheese and biccies and fruit for early supper when DH has his dinner about 8.30 when he finishes work.
Righto - off to kitchen again

Well since I got in from work I've

Cleaned the kitchen floor
Caught up with the thread
Washed dishes
Washed dog's bowl
Emptied TD
Emptied WM into the TD before realising that it hadn't actually been washed so put it back into the WM
Filled DS's tablet tubs for home and school
Sorted tea out
Quite pleased with what I've done really - it makes a big difference getting in 1.5 hours earlier!
Right I'd better go and ring DH to see if he's finishing work yet as DS wants picking up at 5 so if he isn't I'll have to go and fetch him and DD.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

I have done a short translation which came in by email half an hour ago, and sent that off; had a long conversation with a friend about a book that she lent me; and sent another email and got a positive reply back. So all going well.
I need to get myself a cuppa before I start making the other phonecall and writing the other scheduled emailDH has gone to pick up the laser printer cartridge that I ordered on Saturday (and no doubt has also popped into the model railway shop - again!)
No sign of a phonecall back from Customer Services :mad:0 -
Hi, I've done my usual Monday jobs (I tend to work to an ancient flylady list from a few years ago). I've been out walking twice and I took the cat to the vet for her annual booster. She's 16 and is apparently doing fine and is very healthy. She had plenty to say about it when we got back home!0
