JTTOU - link to doing an invisible hem - http://makezine.com/craft/howto_hand_sew_a_blind_hem/
For things like the cushions covers which are joining two separate edges, I use the same stitch, keep the two edges as close together as possible while stitching 'inside' as close to the edges as I can. I have to say it works better with thicker fabrics. The new fabric I'm now using, I can just see some of the stitches, but all in all not bad.

    So far today I have:
    WUDUPA
    Watered indoor plants
    Gym
    Bath
Put away clothes that were on airer
    Hoovered downstairs

Just having a quick cuppa, will then walk the dogs and then hopefully DH will be home so we can go out for the rest of the day.

    Have a great day everyone.

  • We had a lovely time at I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue. It was very funny and by the end my chest was sore from laughing and my hands were sore from clapping.
However today my throat is sore. I am hoping it's not the bug that DH had.

Congrats Mummyroys. That's a brilliant result.

Bossy - I remember having to limit DS's access to certain games when he was little. And a neighbour over the road has a little boy with EXACTLY the same issues.

Really must drag myself away from NCIS and get dressed. Must also make a decision about whether to dry bedding inside or try and dry it outside.

Hope all are having a good day....
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
  • Morning everyone - sorry I was absent yesterday, it was a complete day of running round for hubby and both boys. We did however tick everything off the list

2 hrs wall climbing (which thought might be hospital visit instead as DS1 did roly poly on bed which went wrong and ended up pulling shelf off wall with the arch of his foot!!)
2 pairs of walking boots for both boys
Changed hubbys trainers and jeans that he had for Christmas that didn't fit correctly.
Spent forever in computer shop while hubby looked for a new laptop, he currently down to 2, I know this will change!

Got back at 6pm, and had a hr to get ready and go out for meal with friends.

DD and her BF however, had had the house to them selves all day and it was spotless :)

Today just quick s&s and a couple of loads of washing to be done, and hopefully go for a small walk, test out boys new boots :)

    Mummyroy - big congratulations
    Valli - sorry about car

Big hugs to all who need or just want and big smile for everyone - please pass it on :)
Loving life to the full, just need purse full too :)

    We played 'Articulate'.

This morning I have sorted and put away the clothes in our bedroom. I have also sorted out my underwear drawer and thrown away anything embarrassing (only 2 pairs of knickers). This afternoon I need to hoover upstairs.

I also plan to make a spicy parsnip soup for lunches next week.

Back from dog walk and DH still not home, so I'm going tidy my nails while I'm waiting and try not to get too mad with him...

I would like to announce that the Room of Doom has been tackled!

I was prompted into it by us having a friend staying... we had a few too many glasses of vino so I think only the essentials will get done today! :rotfl:

kaz they were actually boxed bun mixes, that the kiddies were given (spiderman and frozen) with the little wafer pictures that go on too. DS said let's put ginger in so we did!

    valli apple pie, lol

Quite productive here today. After tidying last night, DD had messed her room up before I even got up, so she was bossed to put it straight. 3 beds stripped, kids ones remade so just mine to do.

Laundry up to date and clothes put away. Printer ink refilled but I'm not sure if it needs resetting as nothing coming out in the colours, other than the odd smear of yellow. Will look at that later... Also vacced LR, under sofas etc. Need to wipe over fireplace.

Steak and veg dinne made and scoffed - small amounts of protest but generally eaten in good humour after a small reminder ;)

I've pulled all the coats out of the cupboard, they are breeding, so will sort those before putting some back, and others can either go in CS basket or wardrobes upstairs.

Will whizz round bathrooms tonight with a S&S. Also some paid stuff to do.
