you did better than me,
i got all the christmas stuff up on the landing put all the dirty laundry form the lads rooms in the basket, wrote a letter and sorted a nice mug out. (i accidentally broke a mug at school yesterday washing it and couldnt find out whos it was so i took a nice new one we had but hadnt used with a 'sorry' note and left it in staff room with the broken one):o got washing up done and jacket pots in oven then work friend came round for a coffee before work

I have no idea but he's here pulling items out of the skips. They've had a 3rd one delivered & started filling that now! I think they'll need at least another one to get it all clear. Had to laugh before as there was a loud yelp from a couple of them and they came running out laughing. Apparently there was a rather large spider :rotfl::rotfl: I thought the lad had fallen off the top of the skip or something!
Currently on the phone to BG trying to sort this mess out :mad: Spoke to billing, got transferred to engineer department, then transferred to customer service to cancel the account, now waiting on the transfer back to billing again!Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
nicki hope you get BG sorted out and your money refunded.
Sorted a stash of mags from under the puter table 18 are now in the recycling bag. 2 still had the 'free' pencils still attached so ive taken them off and will take into school tomorrow for gift/prize stash box.
also dug out a file full of the kids school stuff and culled a load of letters and stuff ive kept for years for no real reason. shredding pile is growingSPC~12 ot 124

Fella in customer services has been really helpful. He dealt with billing as well for me. A manager has been emailed to get 1 payment marked as failed & refunded, and the other should be a cancellation within the 14 days and therefore a complete refund as well. They said I may have double clicked the button in error so its gone out as 2 things. I'll give them until the end of February in case of any problems then give my landlady the money back if all is okay.
Can't refund her any earlier in case they decide to charge me for stuff. Note to self: never call BG out again!
Now that I think that's all sorted, (can't believe its taken me all day to sort it ) I just need to add to my finances software that the payments are stuck "in a bubble" for now until it shows that the money is available. I have too many bills coming out over the next week to risk spending money I currently don't have.
Then I should really get on with my newsletter for work!Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Afternoon everyone
I've had work this morning and have a staff meeting this evening as well. I've done a little of the list, but I'll have to do dinner in time for going back to work.

I'm still shredding
In between "over heats" I have also . . . . wait for it . . .
Emptied, cleaned and refilled ALL my food kitchen cupboards!!:eek: I am both shocked and embarrassed by the amount of very out of date stuff in them :o
A lot of it was stuff brought for a recipe but never to be cooked again
DD2 has come home from school, told me all about her mock exams and wiped over the top shelves for me as I'm not really tall enough even on the kick stoolShe's taken herself off to my parents now. She's started staying there Tuesday nights again like the girls did when they were younger and I worked Tuesday nights. My parents like it and it gives my mum some decent conversation as my dad is brain damaged now and is limited
Going back to the shredding while I wait for DD1 to come home0
