finished the shredding at last here, how did you get on wendy? hope yours behaved and let you finish. nipped sports hall, other instructor came closely followed by student, she was disappointed but her dad said he was amazed we kept going for so long with just his DD going both were happy with the trophy and cert we gave her for being such a great student so ended happily.
DH is out doing some training now DS2 is getting ready for explorers and DS1 is singing his lungs out warming up for an open mic event later.

lounge hall kitchen and stairs all swept or dysoned and dyson was unbunged as it had lost some suction.
tea is cooking and everywhere looks reasonably tidy, so im calling today a flying success and going to have 1/2 hour with a book and maybe watch a film with Dh once the lads are out.

    Aaaand relax... :p

They are in bed. DS has been a grot. He was this morning too. Calmed down a bit once he was in bed, and said he'd felt tired and hungry. Cuddle given alongside a reminder that it's not ok to be rude because we are hungry ;)
Both ate dinner, some complaints (mostly DS) but a reminder of last night set them straight lol.
Anyway, I've only got a wash done today and sorted the kitchen after making their dinner. Don't think I'm having any. Just a huge cuppa.

Hosp was ok but I've to go back again, for something requiring a sedative  tis not pleasant being a lady sometimes. They will call with appointment times so we can agree when's best. Ah well.

Was going to do some extra paid stuff, but having carried over 17hrs lieu to this year, I think this first week or so I need to stick to my 21hrs.

Will write a shopping list instead... The weetabix has all disappeared...

I've given up for the evening :o no-one likes it disturbing the tv watching :rotfl:
DD1 has gone to have a lie down, we'd eaten dinner and then she said she felt a bit sicky :(
I really need to look at our budget/money but to be honest I was hoping for DD1's help, even if it was just as a sounding board :( Suppose I'll go find the paperwork :(:(
  • Hello everyone

I'm in this week please - thanks to dusty and natty for the lists.

I plan to work on the 15 min jobs and extras each day, this works for me around the paid stuff.

Will start in earnest tomorrow as I need this eve to chill after a day from hell at work  (will post Mon/Tue/Wed list tomorrow).

Have done dailies yesterday & today - washing/drying/cooking/s&s etc.

Wendy& mrs-moneypenny - thanks for the reminder... I need to get shredding as well.

Welcome to all new flyers! Stick with it, you will soon see results :)

    Love to all xx

Valli, we don't really hang around here all day, even if it sometimes looks as if all we've done is post!

I know - it's the usual January influx plus lots of returners. You're all welcome/welcome back; Flylady DOES work and yes, it's a lovely online community which I am proud to be a member of (even if I don't follow 'the rules' lol)

Hope you get it sorted, you're doing so well so far. Can you get an extension or a transfer? They are usually pretty good if you're struggling. I'm sure I had an extension for at least one of my assignments, not to mention how often I wanted to abandon my last one (it's always the last one that's the worst as you've chosen all the units you like and are just making up the last few points!!).

I've got a new OU lady to tutor next week, although I do know her as I tutored her mum through the OU!

Hope it picks up for you.

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Newbies, Don't copy me and carry things over! I've been flying for years, my house is pretty together, I work from home and there's only DD (nearly 14 ) and me so it doesn't take much to put right. I generally potter during the week then do a big catch up on a Friday if I'm not otherwise engaged ;) And some weeks I just don't bother except dailies and laundry :p

Tea had, lovely freezer based meal :D I've decided to try and run the cupboards/fridge/freezer right down this week. There's not that much in anyway as I haven't had a normal grocery shop delivery since 20th Dec which also included lots of party/Christmas food, so maybe we'll actually use up the bits that have been languishing in the cupboard un-used for a months. ;)

DD did a binbag dance and got rid of a cardboard/plaster model she made in school when she was about 8! She was allowed to bring it home when she was 9 and its lived in the livingroom, under the stairs, in her bedroom, and finally the last 6 months minimum its been in her wardrobe. I've been wanting to fling it for years, and it means a box of bits under the stairs can go when I start under there ;)

So my list is looking like this:
Tue: Newsletter for work & put books out if possible
Wed: Meter readings (to do at 10.30am exactly 1 year to the date/time from last years January reading ;)) Pay work invoice
    Thu: Order to submit
    Fri:
    Sat: No Ex
Sun: Ex here, money to DD.

    Misc:
Update/sync diary (comp & book) - nearly there.
Food inventory - in progress, just fridge & freezer to go.
    Toots list
    HH paperwork - planner
Walk 7miles minimum for week (Set myself a target of walking 365 miles this year ;))

Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining area
    15 minutes...

    mop the floors
[STRIKE] Clear and wipe the worksurfaces[/STRIKE]
    39 minutes to spare...
    Wash the units and appliances.
[STRIKE] Give the pan cupboard a good scrub out.. [/STRIKE] I cleaned the top of the cupboards instead & made sure they were clear. ;)
Wipe over window sills and shine the taps
    Got an hour...
    Dust and deweb

    Extras
    • HHI
    • Thoroughly clean a small appliance (descale kettle/decrumb toaster for example)
Tuesday ~ Living/family room, hallway and stairs
    15 minutes...
[STRIKE] Declutter EVERYTHING that does not belong in these areas[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Dust and deweb[/STRIKE]
    30 minutes to spare...
[STRIKE] Vacuum/mop.. inc. under furniture you can move without hurting yourself![/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] Clear tops of cupboards/coffee tables/magazine racks etc[/STRIKE]
    Got an hour...
Tidy coats and bags and shoes
    Wipe banister rails/paintwork

    Extras
    • Filing.. all the papers you just gathered up
    • Wipe door handles and tops of door frames
    • Vacuum sofas.. don't forget under cushions!
The washing up is nearly caught up on, just Sunday nights pasta bake dish in to soak again and tonights tea dishes :D WM is on with the cleaning cloths so I can clean properly as I've run out of clean cloths again. When the machine has finished I'll go for my bath while DD watches another film. :DBack later

Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Decs down today. OH did the boxing up so that was a bit of activity for him.
Went through box where we keep all leftover unused cards, sorted out really naff ones or ones without envelopes....and curiously envelopes without cards but of course the former don't fit the latter. Anyway that's today's permanent chuckout.
Put beef & large chunks of leek (so could serve to OH without leek) in aga this morning, cooked nicely even though I had aga on central heating all day and not oven.
    Finished report and emailed it.
Took OH to nurse to have dressing changed, she was pleased with healing and happy with the dressing changes I'd done. Made appt for him to see doctor next week to be signed off again - only time they could give him clashed with zumba like today's appt. Pooh.
In process of printing off new attendance forms for this week's students.
Walked down garden this morning; it is really wet and soggy everywhere so no gardening for a while I don't think.
Lounge reasonably tidy now, OH reckoned his exercise for tomorrow will be vacuuming as our vax is very light. I won't argue.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

In from work at 6, cuppa and news update until 7. Made curry for tea, WUDUPA, Hoovered both living rooms, hall stairs and landing, and one of the spare bedrooms. All carp tidied away from those rooms (luckily not a lot) and dog walked by 9 so that I can watch Silent Witness followed by some Jason Statham film DH said was on.

Just the two of us - sorry to hear of your cousin. 66 is too young (and the same age as DH!)
    cupcake queen - welcome
cycling yorkie - Lurgy riddance vibes coming your way
nicki - I hope they are dealing with the vermin rather than letting them free to find new homes
bossy - I'm with you, Go MIL.
Dusty - its not too much is it, responding to posts. I'm sure it will drop off when I cant keep up! Just dont like to just read and run.
minerva windsong - Dont try and do it all, maybe just do a few bits for a couple of weeks then build up as the original things you do will take less time. Some of us have been flying for years and still havent cracked the whole house.
Elastic - that will be a lovely tribute to your Aunt.
Wendywitch - lovely that your DD wants to stay with her grandparents on a regular basis.
bunbun2 - I hope DS isnt suffering from migraines, they are horrible.
Bonnie bumpkins - I think I would probably chill with a glass in my hand if I'd had a bad day!
Valli - your brain's still running on the same wavelength as old then :)

Thats all for tonight, 'see' you all tomorrow
