LW - did you see my post re the 'scary alarm clock'
Yes, I did, thank you.:D I suspect I'd be peeling Mr LW off the ceiling with that one!:rotfl:

He's had a look, and says the alarm clock we have is working; so we've concluded that he's reaching out and switching it off without properly waking up.:( I've told him he has three choices:
    1. Put it where he can't reach it from the bed so he has to get up to switch it off.
    2. Have it set to "beep" instead of turning the radio on.
    3. Ensure that I'm awake before turning it off.
I shall still negotiate with him regarding getting another alarm clock suitable for hearing impaired users I think. Trouble is it goes against the grain to get a new one while the old one still works.

Ronnie's been decluttered back to his owners; I put the vacuum round after he'd gone, and got up a vast amount of longish white hairs.:D Next visitor will be arriving on Wednesday 14th January, so I have a few days dogless. I may even get some proper Flying done!!:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Livingroom Done!
To be honest, most of it was done on Saturday when we took down the tree and decorations. The remaining items that shouldn't be here belong to DD and DS1, and they can sort those themselves, or I shall put in their bedrooms later in the week. I will do some more gentle decluttering over the next few days.

I like the idea of removing a certain number of items, and have found myself doing just that, although not keeping count.

Managed another morning of work.:D and met one of the year 7 classes, and although some are going to be a handful, they are sweeties. I was really tired again when I got home, and nearly fell asleep. I hope I can improve my energy levels fairly soon.

:hello:sarahshattered Nice to see you back!

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
DD is home & updated on todays events :rotfl:

Just juggled "voluntary" bills around for the next week (savings, payment to my arg05 card which is on BNPL thing so I've upped the next few months payments on that instead, and money to be repaid to DD's savings account delayed by a month again!) and I have a small buffer for now, until I get a payment on Monday. Hopefully, 1 there will be no problem with the payment coming in, 2 BG will refund me by then anyway lol. Fortunately I've just checked when my delivery pass expires with Mr A and its the 14th so I have a bit of wiggle room there before I need pay to get a big shop delivered :j We have enough stuff in the cupboard to see us through about 2 weeks with minimal food spend (fresh milk, bread and other supplies for packed lunches is all we need) so I'm not worried too much yet ;)

So my list is looking like this:
Tue: [STRIKE]Bin Day, clear rubbish from my room (broken toys etc from purging bedrooms), IM appoint 10am (walking so leave at 9am),[/STRIKE] Newsletter for work & put books out if possible (can be Wednesday if necessary),

    Misc:
Update/sync diary (comp & book) - nearly there.
    Food inventory

Ds bedroom has had most of the attention today -- making room for Xmas computer games was used as an opportunity to have a good clear out of the Toys too young for him!

We filled a bag for the bin and a box to go to my nephew and there's still two boxes left to sort... But I reassured DS it wasn't a problem for me to go through these while he's at school tomorrow:D

evening all! I did really well yesterday in the end and did pretty much the whole list :j

today - not so good:rotfl::rotfl: blooming work, keeps getting in the way of the cleaning :rotfl:
knackered today and getting a bit fed up of always running late at work, not having a break in a 6 hr shift and then finishing half an hour late, with not everything done so I have to go in early tomorrow if I can. Finished at 3 then raced the bike home to pick up kids at 3:20 - only a little bit late..... :(:( and they've said they want me to do the training to do another service - but the training comes with an exam and its a bit of a scary one to get wrong once I've passed and I'm doing it on my own  I'm going on 5 sessions of training in the next month already, and will then have to have supervision and extra work on the new thing I'm learning, so this will HAVE to be after that is all done :(:(

Tuesday is my 5 kids after school day too:eek: all 5 fed and kept fairly happy and a nice cuppa and a moan had with the extra 2's mum when she came to get them :D

WM and DW done already today and I at least have enough uniform and DH shirts ready for the week after last weeks ironing challenge:D

    plan for tonight:
    - not to throw children out of window or shout too much :D
    - put away clean washing mountain upstairs
    - degunge kitchen
    - hang out washing
    - sort bags for tomorrow
    - general tidy up
    - make dinner for DH and I
    - one thing off list :D - probably dusting in hallway as window and blind is vvv bad

newbies - don't carry the lists over what ever you do - its unmanageable!! Every day is a new day :D just keep chipping away doing bits as you can, you'll soon be able to do more and more of the lists as your house gets clearer and cleaner. Prioritise the decluttering jobs!
    xx

I haven't followed the list as such today but I have focused on the hallway, stairs and living room. The main thing is this thread is making me more focused on cleaning, clearing and tidying and that can only be a good thing.

I even put tea in the slow cooker this morning which for me is a major achievement as I don't/can't cook.

My ds2 is still off school so I will try and get him a gp appointment tomorrow. He is complaining of headache and stomach pains and looking back every time he has been off school has been for the same reason. I am thinking it may be migraine as both myself and OH suffer from these.

off to put some washing away as it is cluttering up the living room:)

Hope you get it sorted, you're doing so well so far. Can you get an extension or a transfer? They are usually pretty good if you're struggling. I'm sure I had an extension for at least one of my assignments, not to mention how often I wanted to abandon my last one (it's always the last one that's the worst as you've chosen all the units you like and are just making up the last few points!!).

I've got a new OU lady to tutor next week, although I do know her as I tutored her mum through the OU!

Hope it picks up for you.
