mrs-moneypenny wrote: »wendy my shredder is like that if i do more than a couple of minutes it needs 25 mins rest to cool down so i try to do a few sheets then let it have a couple of mins while i sort another lot so it will let me carry on. can you bag it up in CS bags or something and refill your bin after its been emptied? were lucky in that we get rolls of brown and green bags we can put unlimited amounts of out. we are limited to 3 black bags of rubbish a week but with recycling its as much as we can do. Brown are for paper and card, (and clothing if you use seperate bags) green are for tins plastics tetra pacs and foil. the only thing we have a box for is glass they are offering us garden bins in the spring if wed perfer them to the bags we have at the mo.
Oh my gosh yours is so much more confusing  We have a blue lidded wheelie bin for plastics, tins, glass, tetra packs and foil with is collected fortnightly (next week  ) with a red bag 2 foot squareish made of tarpaulin stuff which is for paper and cardboard.
Then the opposite week (this week) we have a black lidded wheelie bin which is for stuff that's not recycled. We also have a small brown bin, no bigger than a household bucket for food waste which is collected weekly.
I pay the council for a green wheelie bin which is for garden waste, which I'm ashamed to say doesn't get used muchas I hate the garden so not very money saving :money:
I'm currently packing paper and card into a cardboard box cos I'm 99% sure they'll take that next week. Just have nowhere to store it. I refuse to leave it out side to turn into paper mache as the bin men won't pick that up! (not that I blame them!)
I've filled my 2nd box for charity. I have a sack of clothes to be "weighed in" when I have a car again, started on a 2nd sack. I'm trying to find a box big enough for the dvds that I want to send away to sell.
I've taken apart and scrubbed the cat water fountain but can't find the new filters so had to put the old one back in for now. I'll ask the girls later if they know where they are but I think I'll order some more just in case. Annoying as I'm sure I had 2 left somewhere
I forgot to say earlier that I dusted in the front room yesterday! I still have the big unit to do but I'll do that later once the girls and I have sorted through the playstation games and cds to see if there's any we want to get rid of. We still have the dvds to doas the list of jobs I did for the girls yesterday has been totally ignored. Normally I would dump everything on their beds but as I'm still waiting for them to be stripped  I don't want that to be used as an excuse!
I think I'm going to declutter some toast and coffee, check my emails before starting again. Not feeling great as AF has made an unexpected appearance0 -

mrs-moneypenny wrote: »sorry nicki i misread, when i saw across the alleyway i read it as passageway and assumed you meant flat. i was wondering how on earth they were going to get everything out down lifts or stairwell.
it sounds like one of those properties you see on the hoarder programmes.
i do hope it doesnt cause you any visitors, hopefully something can be done about them before they disperse into the neighbourhood
It is a hoarder house! Its horrible in the summer when the flies breed more easily _pale_ They've nearly filled a skip already and taken his front door off to get easier access!
I updated my finances and there was a discrepancy between what the bank said was available and what I know I should have. After an online chat with the bank it turns out BG have charged me £99 twice for the call out on Saturday when the engineer said I shouldn't be charged at all as he was unable to do the job and has written that on the paperwork he left me!:mad: Now messaged them on publicly on twitt3r to see if I can get it resolved that way. I thought my card had been used by someone else, or I'd miscalculated and was going loopy. So the £100 I had set aside to fill the cupboards/fridge/freezer with healthy options (brown rice, frozen berries, tinned tuna, chicken etc) is not available to me  I'm off to the other forums to see if I can get any advice there.
Right now though I'm going to some soup for lunch since there's no bread for a sandwich (and we're having pitta bread tonight). I've been left with broccoli & Cauliflower soup cups by DD who finished off the other flavours! Thats something else to add to my shopping list!
Next door, they've almost filled 2 skips now! :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

List is not looking too bad, we had such a good go at things on Sunday that the house has stayed tidy now the kids are back to school.
I've done my 2nd job today and have come home with lots of bedding that was being thrown out. I will take it to the rescue centre we got our dog from as they are getting unwanted animals as per usual over christmas. It breaks my heart to see those poor animals.
WM is coming to the end of its 3rd load and I've another 3 to do. Kitchen is looking betterl, I must dig out the oilcloth before the table gets wrecked. I've challenged myself to do HHI every day. That way the pile never gets too daunting.
Im going to fly for an hour and see how much I can accomplish before getting myself some lunch.

Next door, they've almost filled 2 skips now!
I have to ask, as I've been off the forum for awhile, what happened to Mr. Hoarder? Did he die or move into a home or what?
I've had my toast, phone my mum to relay information that DD2 was supposed to have told her
I've also phoned Witness Care about paperwork they were meant to send me but haven't so far. Now waiting for a call back
And I've finally thrown away my old slippersand started wearing my new ones :rotfl:
This is the idea of what the painted buildings DD1 is makes should look like (hope link works, I'm not good at this stuff :undecided )

Christmas decs half down and boxed, stopped for lunch. Will make a cuppa now and pack some more up and then get DS2 to help me cut up and get rid of the tree, I'll pop to the shops whilst it is in the car.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
