I am the official company representative of Vodafone. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. • I have just undergone major surgery. I am bed ridden and need to be in contact with my carers at all times, they are meant to be able to phone me at regular intervals to check that i am alright. My recovery could take two months.

Vodafone have managed to botch my switch from O2. I can make calls on my ported number but many (although some) people are unable to call me. They get the message "you have dialed an incorrect number". They are also unable to text me. one of these people is my primary career.

I have been in contact with vodafone on a daily basis over the past week. Each time they give me a promise that the problem will be resolved in a stated number of hours. Today they told me they knew what the problem was and gave me a cast iron guarantee that they would resolve the split port within 6 hours. They problem has not been resolved.

I am already weak post-surgery but the stress and problems this is causing are further taking a toll.

I plead with anyone considering to buy a Vodafone contract not to. This is the worst and most stressful interaction I have had with a company ever.

  • I’ve had the same issue for the past 10 days. It was working perfectly fine for 3 days but then I had a message from Vodafone saying my account was activated but since then I’ve not been able to receive phone calls or texts. My iMessage says ‘still waiting for activation’ I’ve contacted Vodafone numerous times and I’m getting the same excuses. I was told it would be resolved by yesterday at the latest and still nothing

I can only suggest you follow the advice repeated constantly by Vodafone themselves throughout this thread and take it up with their web relations team. The instructions are in the post immediately above yours.

  • Lee, I’ve tried using the code WRT135 but it says the code is invalid. It’s now been 25 days and I haven’t heard a thing from the supervisor that was supposedly going to sort the problem out. Surely this should have been resolved by now?! I’m my Mothers sole carer and she needs to be able to contact me 24/7 and I myself suffer from rheumatoid arthritis and stress triggers me to flare. Believe me I am seriously stressed right now but Vodafone doesn’t seem to care, they say they’ve escalated the problem, they know it’s a split port. I can’t believe that this is still ongoing, I will be cancelling my contract!!!
  • Try emailing

    Nick.jeffery@vodafone.com

My problem was resolved within 48 hrs, I got no response from the WRT at all.
