Remember, it's as much wasted in your stomach if you don't need it as it is in the binAt least that's what I told myself as I tipped the last of the stilton into the very full bin, alas by not taking the foil off of the plate first (avast ye, temptation!) I also tipped the cheese knife in and no way was I fishing down the bin to get it out :rotfl:

We managed to get debt free a few years ago... then we slipped into old habits and now we're back at square one. So, I'm back on here, soaking up all the advice, and making commitments for the next 12 months...
- Make a start on the Debts (snowball says we can clear by 2017)
- Lose a Stone (not a huge amount, would like majority gone by the end of Feb)
- Sort out the attic (Neither of us drive, so we use it as a dumping ground)
- Get on top of chores (Fly Lady, here I come. Again!)
- Save a modest amount to make Christmas managable (Aiming for £25 pcm)

Hi all, hope you don't mind me pitching in but feel I will be a lot better with some moral support.
Been a tough year, myself and my sons mum have agreed to split up for good as we seem to get on a lot better that way, so first step for me is getting my own place, which I should get a decision on within next 7 days.
My goals won't be easy as I've got an interview to go from Self Employed to employed with a company, which will mean working a month in hand with no wages at all but it's something I really want to do and it will give me security in the long term and better chances of a mortgage which is my ultimate goal by end of 2016. Chuck into that both my sons birthdays this month means it's going to be tight! Lol anyway here's my goals for the year
1) move into my own rented flat
2) Have one date per month
3) take my sons on holiday
4) continue to have my sons 3 times a week, but try cooking for them rather than eating out or just buying food from shops etc I feel this will save me £150 per month easily
5) not spend as much money on expensive days out with them when we have just as much fun kicking a ball around all day, again saving around £150-200 per month
6) Save £12k towards deposit for first home (this is massive for me, always been my dream)
Sorry to ramble on but it's strangely soothing "talking" to you all about this as I'm sure you all know us men don't really talk about this to each other.
Thanks all and I look forward to seeing all your success and working towards my own.
