  • I'd like to have an emergency fund saved of at least £1000 and a Christmas fund saved of at least £365. I'd also like to be paying off around £6500 of debt mountain.
On the home front, I'd like my downstairs decorating and furnishing to be finished, my upstairs craft/ workshop organised and usable and my garden pleasant to sit in in the warm weather.
Happy New Year and good luck to all. HB

In 2015 I would like to:-

    -be nicer to others
-lose the 2lb I put on over Christmas
-keep saving for my husband's retirement
-help my children in starting their independent lives which means persuading one to think seriously about the future and help the other save for a house deposit
    -phone my mum more frequently

Happy new year everyone! I'd like to join this post too if that's okay (and actually keep posting!)

I have had a pretty awful last few years so i'm hoping 2015 is the year for me. I'm going to be turning the big 30 this year so need to get my life sorted for the better as i'm fed up with living a half life. Here to no more worrying about ex relationships, money worries and low self exteem.

    So my goal are;

    1. Pay off all Debts and stay debt free (Currently have 2 CC debts on 0% so have spent the last year putting any payments into a savings account to pay off this year. One finishes in March and the other July. So collectively I have £1000 left to pay off)
    2. Loose weight!!!!!! (I have two weddings in August and a holiday to florida in April (wanted to be out the country for my birthday) so NEED to loose at least 1 stone by April and 1/2 stone for August!)
    3. De clutter the house.
    4. Saver a nest Egg (one the debt is paid off. I really want 3 months wages in savings incase I loose my job. Feel I need to aim for one month by the end of 2015).
    5. Be HAPPY =)
    6. Stop spending to cheer myself up (stolen from someone else but I really relate to this)
    7. EBAY as much as I can (relates to 3)
    8. Eat out of my freezer and cupboards rather then buying more food!
    9. Start spending my spare time crafting.
    10. Be more social. ( I def do not go out enough at the moment and have turned into a recluse, unfortunatly my friends see no issue with spending £50 on a weekly night/meal out so I possibly need to find myself some new friends haha!)

Good luck to everyone on here and I hope we all reach our goals. I'm going to try and update weekly/monthly! xx

Thanks for taking time to reply, appreciate it. Yes haven't got the best dad, well in fact he's not a dad at all and I will never treat my boys that way.

Anyway little update, I got offered the job I went for on Monday, and I start this coming Monday, so that's a good start to the year

Have my boys tonight, I coach the football team for my eldest, they're under 8s and tonight we have our first training session of the new year, so that should help to shift some of the turkey and pigs in blankets x
