    I want to:
Continue to pay off debt - at least £5k this year
Maintain at least £1k emergency fund at all times
Finish my post grad degree (hopefully in August)
Be successful in my new job (I start tomorrow eek)
Build up enough spending money for our holiday in September to San Diego - the first holiday where everything has already been paid for without using credit :j
Replace the garage door, front door and shower in our flat
Start trying for a baby at the end of the year :j hubby in full agreement and possibly even keener than me :rotfl:

    Not much then :rotfl:
    Baby due 21/06/2017 :)
  • Hi, I look at this site every now and again and get inspired by it and I thought I would join this thread and try to organise myself this year.
I liked Symphonie's post, I identified with frittering money away on chocolate, coffees and magazines.
    So My goals for 2015
    1. Keep a record of my spending and get in control of my money
    2. Meal plan to save money and eat more healthily
    3. Transfer CC to 0% balance and pay off (£2000 ish)
    4. Run a 10K in under 60 minutes
    5. Cancel credit cards I don't use
    6. Post a SOA on MSE
    7. Remember everyone's birthday this year
    8. Sort the house out, DIY projects etc
    9. Declutter house and shed
    10. sell stuff on ebay & Gumtree
  • This year I really need to:

1 - Enjoy my holiday and try not to overspend too much - going to Florida in 4 weeks time paid for by my family for my sisters surprise 50th so just need spending money mainly for food - i have alot of debt but have managed to save some spends and reduce the debt over xmas :j

2 - Keep loosing weight not set target but as much as possible - i dont diet but had started 30 day shred in November and was doing really well 9lb down but winter bugs and chest infection put a stop to it so need to be getting back onto it. Managed to keep 8 1/2lb off over xmas :j

3 - Keep things a little tidier at home and keep decorating little and often and pay cash - usually not too untidy but could be better and tidy up when i have finished with something would help.

4 - Have set a target of paying £15,000 by xmas 2015 and would like to get to this target and a bit more. ;)

5 - Restart with YNAB i have the full version but never got to grips with it and i know its a great piece of software.

6 - Be more proactive at work, i procrastinate alot and i shouldn't.

7 - Await birth of second grandchild and also my niece is due a baby about the same time in August.

8 - Reduce the debt free date on my snowball by 4 months - i want to pay all our debt in three years and currently showing 4 years and 2 months but the interest is not quite right on it so hopefully will be able to reduce by 4 months a year for 3 years.

I didnt realise i had so many things to put down

I would like to join as I think it will help focus my mind and also give me the motivation I need to achieve my goals and hopefully help others do the same.

    1. Pay £5k off my debt

    2. Put £6k into my share save at work

    3. Get at least a 3% payrise at work

    4. Read at least two books (I can't remember the last time I read a book, bad I know)

    5. Go to the gym 3-4 times a week with the ultimate aim of being able to bench press 100kg

    6. Find myself a gf (this will be the most difficult of the lot I think, I just don't seem compatible with any!)

    DFD - 17/04/2016
