EEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!
4 weeks to go!
NYD xx2019 goal

Update from me, must post here more often!!!!
Hi long time reader, don't post very often but I would like to join if that's okay.
My goals for 2015 are
1) To reduce my overall debt level and try to clear in full if possible - Managed to pay off a couple of small debts in January and have knocked £270 off our overall debt level. It's small but it's a start
2) Start saving an emergency fund - Nothing happening here as yet
3) Save for a holiday in the uk - Deposit paid for a week in Cornwall but must start saving for this
4) Start saving for a house deposit, would like to save £20,000 in total over next 3 years - Nothing happening here as yet
5) Complete my maths course - Progressing well and should be completed for July
6) Work hard to pass my uni course - 2nd assignment passed with a much better grade than first Yayyyy
7) To look after myself more - Failing at the moment
8) Continue with my weight loss and get to target - 2 stone to go - Not got any further with this, lose some then gain it again, need to get back to plan ASAP
9) Start exercising more and making the most of my gym membership - As above
10) Meet up with friends more regularly - Met up with friends, and meals booked in for next couple of weeks, happy with this.
A few of these are already underway but I want to be able to start crossing them off ASAP x
Onwards and upwards xx0 -
1. Pay off £1500.00 of the £5,507.82 debt - Paid off quite a chunk of this as used savings for the holiday so my debt now stands at £4,165.59 :T
2. Lose 52lbs - Lost 0.5lb this week 49.5lbs to go in 2015
3. Save for OH 40th birthday surprise trip to Rome in December 2015 - I have paid for the flights, hotel, transfers & have a teensy bit of spending money but still quite a bit to go will keep you updated with things as we get nearer to the time.
4. Add to my emergency fund - Have maybe £30.00 in my tin now.
5. Pay for our 2016 cruise & save some spending money - I used the savings to pay for the debt so now have £0.00 :rotfl:
6. Update on here more regularly - Getting better at this.
Happy to hear of the news with the builder NYD.
Not long till baby arrives now :j

Well, January went by in a blur so its a bit of a late update here.
1) Stay debt free
£450 interest free 'til May. It feels strange to be saving and not paying this off asap.
2) Save 12k towards house deposit
Have saved nearly 1.5k since the start of the year with more to come this month.
3) Start investing for long term
Nothing so far.
4) Run 5k in 30 minutes
The flu I had at new year really set my asthma off so am having to build back up slowly. Did 4k in 28.25min today then walked another 1km.
5) Run 10k without stopping
See above.
6) Run in an organised race
Have found a few possibles for the summer but may try parkrun first.
7) Keep on top of housework
Actually going well. I'm trying to do a bit regularly rather than the whole house at once. It's not spotless but it's better than it has been.
8) Declutter the house
So far, I games console, controllers and box of games, 2 boxes or random stuff, 1 box of obsolete electricals and 2 bags of clothes have been given away, recycled or binned.
9) Be more organised about life in general
I downloaded an app called home routines, I think its helping...
10) Be more sociable
A few text convos and one day out for a friend's birthday. Room for improvement...
11) Look more put together
Am making more of an effort to wear my 'nice' clothes and make sure they match. I'm wearing make up when not working. When I run I look a complete mess but I'm doing my bit for the fluorescent lycra industry
12) Finish my course module
I have put some work in to this this weekend but I looked back and its over a year since I submitted anything! This is not good! I really need to get my !!! in gear so my plan is to submit my first assignment by the end of this month and the next 2 by the end of March. I need you good people to hold me to account if I don't.
13) Start my next course module
See above
14) Get my course log up to date
Nothing doing
15) Have a holiday abroad
Have opened a little esaver account linked to our main current account. So far have £75 but will continue to trickle in when we underspend.
Sorry that was such an epic post. - Pay off 2 credit cards, 1 loan and £5,000 of debt. 2 credit cards paid off. :j1 loan to go this year (next week).
- Save £50 per month for emergency fund. £100 saved.
- Sort out mortgage. House builder said Yes to my offer! Just need to go to the bank next week to sort paperwork and legal stuff and we are sorted. So relieved.
- Finish Mini NYD nursery. In progress, hope to report all complete next week!
- Begin Mini NYD memory book (got the book, just need to start). Not started yet aiming for when I finish up on maternity leave (1.5 weeks)
- Go away for our first weekend/mini break/week as a family in October 2015 paid for by cash, not credit.
- Write business and marketing plan for life coaching business with clear milestones, to start in April 2016.
- Spend quality time with my daughter when on maternity leave, make an effort to go to classes, walks and activities and not dwell on things that don’t matter (as much) e.g losing weight and getting fit.
- Continue to support my dad 100%, research rehabilitation techniques and never give up hope. 3 chapters read. I've had a difficult weekend with my dad. Maintaining hope is a full time goal and feel very sad tonight
He has been selected for a medical trial for his arm, hope he gets the group that means he gets some intensive therapy.
- Read 4 more books that expand my thinking. Not yet.
- Read the influence blog and apply it to my professional life. Started an e-book on the topic and read 2 chapters so far.

Happy New Year everyone. My 2015 goal are:
1) Have a thousand pound emergency fund Still at the same amount - going to put my pay raise which I'm due in my savings account
2) Finish the Great North Run and the Blackpool half marathonHave started training again. Slowly but it is happening
3) Pay off my Simply Be account (currently stands at £759)got it down to £700
4) Carry on making my house nice (there is too many things to do to be more specific).Landlord is coming round to discuss this
5) Not get into any more debt-on goingSaving for Christmas 2017 £120/£400 :beer:0 -
Ok - off topic completely but need some light relief from debt busting! How do you get rid of elephant legs and cankles without taking a water retention tablet (I'm not allowed
) Sick to death of having legs that feel like concrete, are heavy and puffy. Sick to death of being pregnant now but only 3 weeks to go and I'm considered 'full term' today so if mini NYD made an appearance tonight (please don't, not yet...) then she would be fully developed which makes me happy.
Yours,

The only things I can think of are to elevate your feet and try ice packs. Possibly some gentle massage might help- try getting Mr NYD to give you a foot rub xxMFW 2024 £27500/7500 Mortgage £129,500 Jan 22 Final payment June 38 Now £68489.08 FP May 36 Emergency Fund £20,000 100% Added to ISA 24 £8,060 Save 12k in 24 #31 £20,034.76/20,000 Debt Free 31.07.140

Thanks FlacosFLoozie - legs are currently in the upright position and ice packs on!!....no way Mr NYD would go anywhere near my feet!!! And my legs look like a gorilla at the moment, I am getting all my waxing done on Friday in time (hopefully for the big day) so maybe I'll ask him then..ha ha xx
I think the main problem is that I'm still working flat out - I finish up next Weds and goodness I CANNOT wait. Maybe they will calm down then. I only have 1 pair of shoes that fit. Boo hoo, I miss my heels2019 goal
