Yeah he's in no rush, and doesn't need to be. He's got a good 20 years to think about it! Moral of the story - don't date younger menMortgage: [STRIKE]Apr 2014 £141, 415[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£137,491[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£128k [/STRIKE] Dec 2019 £81,6210

*de-lurks*
Hi Worry_WartJust to let you know, this time a year ago my OH still seemed a little way of wanting to try (OH is 31, I'm 27). I've always known he wanted kids but it would always be 'in the future'. I knew a lot of it was that if we started a family, for him that would mean drawing a definitive line under a stage of his life that he really enjoyed (uni, independence, being 'carefree' etc), and I knew that he couldn't be forced in to a decision. I'd drop babies into conversation every so often, and occasionally get brave and see a funny name and joke that's what we'd call our child. I guess I kind of started gradually dropping it into conversation more and more without pushing it or making it something serious, and by the time I felt comfortable enough to talk about how long my body might take to readjust after Cerazette we made the mutual decision to stop taking it and see how we got on.
I think he kind of thought we were NTNP to start with, when actually we were very much TTC I just wasn't telling him any crucial dates! After a few months of AF he was obviously disappointed so I felt more comfortable drip feeding him basic info on my cycle.
So to cut a long story short I very much took control of the situation without him really knowing that's what was going on! Anyway, I fell on my 4th cycle and am now coming up to 22 weeksHe talks to bump every day and is equally as scared/excited as me.
I think essentially what I seem to have said is, know how to manipulate your OH so they think the whole thing is their idea! :S Oh dear.

Wow Claire - 22 weeks already. How quickly has that gone?!
AFM - think I jumped the gun with CD1. Had brown bleeding yesterday (sorry for tmi but could see it on a tampon) but nothing at all today so think I'm actually still waiting for AF. My cycle was really messed up this month so don't really have a clue where I am. OH was ill most of the month though so only dtd on CD6 so don't think there's any chance of a BFP0 -
lulu I'll be very impressed if you do a whole week in a row! I've been charting temps & opks for the first time this month and having got what I thought was a positive opk on Friday (CD14) actually wasn't properly positive until Sunday. I then had a big temp dip yesterday (CD18) apparently indicating I was ovulating, so we ended up DTD 5 days in a row. DH was so pleased today when I told him he could have a day off!
So, CD19, 1DPO - now in the TWW. Not much more we could have done this month, so have my fingers firmly crossed!0 -

Hello to all
Second post!
I was wondering, does anyone have any recommendations as to what vitamins I should be taking when TTC? I bought a pack of the "Pregnacare Conception" vitamins, but they are super expensive!!0 -
ScienceGrrl, I started with them but they were about £9 a packet. I'm on the Seven Seas Trying To Conceive & Early Pregnancy ones now, which are about £3 a packet. Pretty sure they're playing havoc with my bowels (TMI?
) but apparently that can happen with any pregnancy/TTC vitamins.
Lulu - go, go go!
ThePug, a round of applause for your determination. You deserve the BFP just for effort! :T
Today is ovulation day, according to FF. It's all been a bit rushed this month due to the unexpected peak reading on the OPK. We'd hoped to fit a BD in this morning, but then the dog threw up on the bed, the bedding, the bedroom carpet, and the hall carpet, and that took priority. OH has admitted he's not trying very hard this month because he doesn't really want a December baby. He's a December baby himself, and he says it's horrible having a birthday so close to xmas.© Cuilean 2005. Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.0 -
Sorry for the delay in updating. This morning I got a definate BFP :j :j
I am still having brown/clear discharge (sorry TMI), period pain is still very much there and given previous history I am trying to keep my feet on the ground.
Thank you AmyTurtle im going to have a browse on baby centre!
Agreed with the BF to take a clearblue at the weekend and book in at the docs next week if everything stays the same.
:T:T
Culiean I swear by a hot water bottle, I cant cope without one! I hope everyone is okay xx0
