It's great to see so much support on here especially when this is the only place to vent. No one else knows we are TTC so its not something i would share with friends.
Good luck for Friday Clarabell, hope AF stays away! I've had strange cycles since TTC too, from 26 days to 42 days.
Last year when we decided to TTC we said we wouldn't book any holidays this year as we were hoping to be pregnant by this summer so wouldn't want to be jetting off on a plane. But now we've changed it to, if we don't conceive this cycle or next, we're going to treat ourselves to a city break in Rome in May, somewhere we have wanted to go but put off. Something to look forward to if things dont go our way I guess. We're also going to the Peak District in April.TTC since September 20150 -

Thanks Alex_88 fingers crossed!
We also agreed that we weren't going to book any holidays but have now said that if we get to May and still nothing then we may book for a week to Crotia in September. Like you it's somewhere we wanted to go, infact we were going to Honeymoon there but the weather wouldn't have been great so we went to Rome (& Sorrento) instead! Rome is fantastic :j0 -
When we first started TTC we booked a holiday to LA for April this year. We were worried at the time that we wouldn't be able to go due to being too far along or having a newborn, but I always thought I'd at least be pregnant. It's in 6 weeks and it's looking very likely I'll be drinking on that 11 hour flight!Happiness can be found in even the darkest of places, if one only remembers to turn on the light - Albus Dumbledore

Hi guys! Sorry for radio silence we're away at the min but just been catching up whilst OH plays on his tablet. Can I be updated to CD27 5PO please? FF thinks I ov'd last Sat but as it was so much earlier than usual I don't hold out much hope because work etc meant we only BD'd CD24 & CD26 :-( we're on hol this week which is when it was supposed to be!
We went on a plane as well, and have another short plane journey booked for may. We put too much on hold last year so we've decided to just be normal and enjoy life before we go crazy.
I might start flitting between here and the 12m+ thread as it's been nearly 11m for us and I hate to admit it but I'm really starting to struggle with people who catch the first or second month - I'm a terrible person I know but I get so sad!

Wow it's been busy on here, so good to see :j
Sorry for all you ladies finding it difficult atm, it's so damn tough sometimes, & although there's prob not much I can say to make it any easier, just know that we're all in this together. Sexy fx for some good news for you soon, & Freddie hope everything goes well at the scan.
Afm, CD4, onto cycle 8 now. Tbh, I've been feeling really down about things too, AF was particularly nasty & PMS was terrible, def the worst I've had since coming off the pill. It's my birthday in a few weeks, & when we started ttc last summer, I (stupidly) assumed I'd be pg on my next birthday. Now it's coming round to that time, it's like a kick in the teeth that it still hasn't happenedI've started temping this cycle, hoping that'll shed some more light on whether I'm actually oving or not. So far temps have been between 35.69 -36.19 celsius. Obv, this is lower than the "normal" body temp of 37, but how low is too low?? Cats was it you who had uat diagnosed based on low bbt? How low was your temp?

Hi all
Sorry to all those with Af. It's a cruel cruel business. Although we are only on cycle 4 because of my irregular periods it's been about 6 months.
But I had my first ever positive opk yesterday so I am going to go forcd19 0dpo

Angel I didn't have it diagnosed based on that but when I had other tests and happened to have started temping they were like "oh yes your body temp def suggests uat" which is why I'm annoyed I didn't start sooner!!
Normal is actually more like around the 36.5 mark according to my doc. My tempts pre-ov are ALWAYS below 36! I've had 35.5 ish which didn't even fit on my acupuncturist's mark chart....
Going up a bit now though after 8 weeks on meds - more like 36 ish as standard. But my doc said the level isn't too important if I'm still seeing the shift so fingers crossed!Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

Hello
Can I join you all - been lurking for a few months but only started trying for the past two. Currently mid AF (did try to convince myself it was implantation bleeding the first day - humpf). I'm 40 years old and never been pregnant - its very odd, spending most of my life trying desperately not to get pregnant (God the hideous boyfriends I've had - never wanted kids with them!!) then all of a sudden it's GoGoGo... Must admit I feel a bit pessimistic about the whole thing, I keep reading how you're past it at 35 when it comes to falling pregnant. My OH is super positive - with him it's 'when' not 'if'
Anyway, I'm trying to learn the lingo - got the clear blue ovulation sticks at the ready, changed my diet, added in the folic supplements and told my acupuncturist (I see for arthritis) to stick a few extra pins in for a baby
OH works away during the week which makes it a bit tricky. Certainly didn't help last month.
All in all I'm trying to keep relaxed about the whole thing, but if I'm honest, failing miserably - all I can think of is I'm old!!!!!!
Anyway, nice to meet you all and wishing you all the baby dust possible.0 -
Welcome meep, hope your not here too long.
Thanks Cats, I'll keep an eye on it throughout the cycle.0
