Sorry for CD1 Rachy. With your opks it depends on your usual cycle length. I have an average 30 day cycle and start testing on day 10/11. Usually ov around day 15/16.
My last cycle was 29 days but this one is 28. I usually get CM around days 11-13 so probs worth starting at day 9-10. OH is away from day 13-17 though. He has said he would drive back and return during the night but I feel that is too much stress and pressure on us when it may not even work - it's a 3 hour drive each way
Sexymouse - easy for everyone to say that you should stay positive and not worry but Milliebob is right, you have managed a healthy baby once and so there is every possibility that it will happen again. Sending lots of love and best wishes.0 -
MancMama - I know, its so stressful, but its something we just cant control and i guess thats the hardest part! It will happen one day and when that day comes you will cherish every minute.
Rachyloo - I normally test from CD8 and use the cheapie tests from Amazon, they're just little strips but i got 20 for under £3 i think it was.
Sexymouse - that must be worrying to get them results but as others have said, it doesn't mean that you wont go on to have a perfectly normal pregnancy the next time.TTC since September 20150 -

In its simplest form it's basically start testing from day 8 (or 10, can't remember) and dtd the every other day until you get a positive. When you get a positive, dtd 3 days in a row, skip a day and then once more. Then test 14 days after ovulation. It's a bit intense but it seemed to work for us and gave me an idea of when to start testing x
Thanks, that's helpful. Just gonna be hard as OH away a lot with his new job, something we didn't consider when we started0 -
Really sorry to hear things aren't going so well for some of you, sending big hugs, all we can do is try to look for the positives and cheer each other up, I appreciate having you all here to talk to since I'm not really telling my friends about it, I don't want to mention anything really until I have some actual news, I'm sure they really don't want to know what cycle day I'm on or what my CM is like, haha!0

Hi all,
I hope everyone is well and congratulations to all the BFP's recently! baby dust for those who are having struggles xxx
I have posted before when I had just come off the pill but felt quickly I had to step away as I was stressing out so early on!
I am only on my 4th cycle but they seem to be a bit all over the place 48,35,38 and currently CD36. I started using internet cheapie OPK's back in Dec and was convinced that I had close to a positive OPK and I cramps that I had never felt before. But since them I've been using digital tests and have only ever had flashing smiley faces and no solid.
I was at the doctors for another reason last month but said I was worried I wasn't ovulating and she said it didn't give her cause for concern.
We were really good in February BDing every second day and when the Glow app told me chances were high (again no solid smileys, just flashing).
Currently on TWW and think I am 13DPO - trying not to symptom spot but I have been having headaches, nausea, tiredness and crampy twinges for the last 5-7 days. I took internet cheap tests the last few days but BFN (trying to save FR and CB Digitals for faint lines) and according to Glow i'm due AF on Friday.
Also this morning when I wiped I had alot of CM with a bright blood streak (not sure if this is caused by BDing last night (sorry TMI).
To make things worse (or better depending on how you look at it) my brother & sister in law announced on Sunday that they are pregnant! Obviously I am really happy and excited for them, but when we got home from dinner, I sobbed for a good 15 mins that it wasn't me.
Feeling quite down and stressed again - as much as the OH tells me I need o think positive and relax!
Sorry for the long post but feeling a bit better getting it off my chest!0 -
It's amazing to see so much support on here for everyone, doesn't it give you strength? It really keeps me going, thank you all.
sexymouse I know you must be worried, I would be exactly the same, but it sounds like you are in good hands and its best to be armed with the full facts on these things isn't it? Like others have said there's no reason to believe you won't have a healthy pregnancy in future and this could have just been one of those awful things that happens sometimes to good people who don't deserve it at all. Sending hugs.
rachylou Sorry for AF, I agree with the others, start doing opks from around Day 9/10 until you get a peak, in future months you will get better at knowing when ov is so can only test around those days - but hopefully you won't need to as you will be preg! I find my surges happen in the afternoon so I test around 4pm, but you will find what works for you. Good luck.
Freddie you are in my thoughts and I am sending you and the Mrs so much love and luck for the scan.
Millie, Alex and jojo sending you lots of baby dust and luck as well.

Thank you MancMama4! I'm trying so hard to distract myself but ot's all I can think of.
Since Sunday, all I can think is how great it would be to pregnant at the same time as my sister in law and have children so close together.
I know what will be will be but I really had a feeling that this would be our month.0
