Rachy I was on femodene but unfortunately I don't think my experience is helpful as i just had a very boring month where I was waiting for my first "proper" AF as it were.

I wouldn't worry - remember the pill has been suppressing your hormones a bit, so maybe yours are just going a bit crazy whilst you level back out?

Thanks Cat, I don't know anyone who has ever taken it except me. How long did it take for a proper AF after stopping?

    Sorry to hear that kynthia

    Welcome happily

    Keeping fx freddie

AFM, AF arrived today, 2 days late. Tbh, I'm not as upset as I thought I'd be, probably because of my melt down after the bfn at the weekend. So onto cycle 7, & trying to stay really positive :D
I ordered some opks, and they arrived at the weekend - any suggestions when I should start testing?
  • Hi all. Just an update really. 5 weeks after mirena removal and still no AF. Took a test on Sunday just to make sure and was negative. I'm feeling awful though..! I'm feeling really emotional, one minute want to cry, next minute irritatable. Think it's the hormones! I don't think I'm pregnant but u have been feeling some strange symptoms- past two days have felt really sick and I'm off certain foods... (Thought of a greasy fried egg makes me feel sick) which is why I took the test.. But I'm thinking it may be again a hormonal thing. I keep getting a bit of sensation like tugging in around where I think my ovaries are so I'm hoping its preparing for an AF! X

Hey Rachy - that's weird loads of my friends are on it/have been on it, but anyway my AF showed up about 4 weeks after my last "pill period" if that makes sense - so I took my 3 weeks of pill, had my off week, then juts didn't start it again and had an AF 4 weeks later.

It was pretty light though and only 2.5 days, so I now look back and wonder if my one in June was really the first proper one so that would have been nearer 9 weeks.

10DPO for me today. Had a teeny bit of spotting yesterday - would love to get excited that it's implantation but in reality I often get spotting this early due to hormones being out of whack. Was hoping the thyroid meds would have helped but probably takes a bit longer.

I also realised that this is actually only my 5th cycle, despite the fact it's been 9 months, because of my long ones. So on one hand that's so frustrating, but on the other it makes me feel a bit better!!

FX for you Freddie and everyone else of course x

Angel 11 - Isn't it normally 5 days after your period finishes? It is for me, though I think it depends on the length of your cycle, mine seems v short, around 25 days

Depends on your cycle length as others have said - mine are c.40 days so I start testing around day 20 at the moment.
