    It's likely a combination of everything :-)
I like Mr. Motivator's advice when it comes to weighing yourself- don't trust the scales, pick an old item of clothing that you loved, but can no longer fit into, and make it your goal to fit into it again! (As you know, muscle weighs more than fat etc.) Up hill running is also best. Oh, and they say that green tea helps to speed up your metabolism too (I drink about 5 cups a day of the stuff).
    Good luck!

So af turned up sunday so CD2 for me and into month 10 of trying. I also have been trying to lose weight and eat "clean" or make healthier choices and have been doing well apart from the odd weekend binge, but i have also pretty much given up alcohol all in the hope of bettering my body for conception. Fat lot it's done for me as i near the 1 year mark!!!!

Eat what you like girls, drink what you like and enjoy it. :p

    Afternoon all :)
Hugs Black Ribboner, people (even Mums!) can be really insensitive about these things, I think they just don't realise the emotional impact and struggles associated x

I've nearly stopped bleeding from the miscarriage, just faint spotting now, and had a BFN on a cheapy test yesterday, so I think we're ready to start trying again. Got a delivery of OPKs and HPTs at the weekend, just need to dig out my thermometer. I'm not really sure how to chart this cycle, I'm on CD13 if you count the first day of bleeding as CD1, but we're just going to try and follow SMEP until we get a positive OPK or AF arrives.

Just had the phone call from 01234 835000. Sounds like I'm in. Just to add to the pressure, if you get a BFP during the trial, you get £50 in High Street Vouchers. No BFP = no vouchers, but you'll get a consolation prize of a month's free ovulation equipment. You get sent an email with a couple of forms to fill in, where they coyly refer to what you'll be sent during the trial as "ovulation test sticks and a holder. Test sticks are read by the holder". Sounds like the Fertility Monitor to me - maybe the advanced one? Not sure if they still make the old style one which I've got. £96 for the Advanced Fertility Monitor in Boots! I wonder if they're really going to want it back afterwards? Must go and re-read all the small print.

LittleMoog, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that this is your body saying it's ready to go again.

Me-charlotte, it sounds like you're doing all the right things. I love your advice. We should try to enjoy ourselves more!

  • Ooh, I had the email but am waiting for the call - really hope I'm in, find the ICs really hard to read!

I like the Mr Motivator advice - my goal is to stop my jeans feeling so tight and stop having to use a cushion to hide the muffin top whenever I sit down :D

Glad to hear things are settling down LittleMoog, everything crossed for a sticky bean this cycle.

Hugs to everyone, I'm so glad to have you all here (while simultaneously wishing you all away to the graduate threads!) x

Wow MRN I really admire how calm you are! I am way too impatient and would probably drive myself and DH completely crackers if I was that late! All the luck in the world for a positive result :)

I'm back from 2 nights away at a family party without DH in the middle of my fertile window :(

Managed to BD on CD13 and 15. Two apps predicted ov on CD 15 so may have been lucky. I am really not feeling it this month. People have started asking when we will start a family and it's hard to lie. I plan on starting temping next month to get a better idea what is going on and generally going to try to relax a bit.

I'm also going to try stepping back from the internet a bit. I will still read this thread (I couldn't leave you lot :p) and check in once a week but I need to stop obsessively scanning forums. It seems to make me more anxious and focus on the negatives.

Does anyone know if it's OK to link to fertility-related blog posts? I regularly read a grand total of 3 blogs and would you believe that all 3 writers are pregnant at the minute? Two have had long fertility journeys and written some interesting and uplifting posts if anyone is interested?

Anyway, I will pop back at the weekend when I hope to be rested and have regained my enthusiasm for BD and life in general! :o

Masses of good luck to everyone xx

I tried to post earlier but it mustn't have worked.

Just to say I got my bfp last night.

I had been worried that my hormones were a bit out of balance as cycles were a bit erratic so I took agnus castus tincture from cd1 to ov. That's all I did differently but I think it must've helped!

I have a bit of a history of mc so still a long road ahead.

Thank you for the support I've had from reading all of your posts.
