Thanks for doing this - revisited the 2014 one and have a number to carry over!
1. To lose weight and yo-yo less - have lost and gained the same half stone the past 2 years!
2. To have a decent work-life balance - ridiculous hours this past year
3. To be more active - health issues may rule out gym but will make effort to at least walk more
4. To de-clutter at home and work
5. We will get the bathroom refurbished, the loft floorboarded and decorate living room and our bedroom
6. To do more home cooking
7. To sort my photos out - if my PC crashed I would lose far too much
8. To make more time for friends and family - ties in with 2, work got in the way of too much last year
9. To support DH who gives up his day job soon to focus purely on being a DJ - big change for us, could cause tensions if not careful!
10. To find something positive in every day - too easy to moan about things and lose sight of good stuff0 -
Ooh I looked at the last thread and wished I had done it so here goes..
1) To plan in advance and cook more homemade stuff for us this year
2) To fetch my slow cooker out of the cupboard and use it!
3) To wind down my Ebay business and free up more spare time
4) To go out more and make the most of opportunities (only out in the evening 5 times this year....!)
5) To spend time on my house decluttering, decorating etc that had to be put on hold for 2014 due to health reasons. First priority kitchen/dining area
6) To read more books (see no 3!!) rather than spending time online'And our dreams will break the boundaries of our fears'0 -
I really need to make some changes!
Use my recipe books more .will aim for a new dish at least once a month
Spend less on grocery shopping.
Lose 56lb
Eat less and move more ,cut out sugar for good- see above.
Keep in contact with old friends
Use my tablet and laptop more effectively instead of just surfing the web all the time.
Good luck everyone!:beer:0 -
Fab thread. Ok:
1) This is the last time I am going to change username on here, I've been on and off for years and always forget/give myself huge anxiety issue over going back to the old username.
2) write in my online journal every other day from when I get home even just a word or two but it becomes part of my third year degree project so I need to do it.
3) couch to 5k and run non stop a 5k colour run in September for my birthday.
4) be kinder and look after myself a little more. Keep in mind that failing at a task doesn't mean I am a failure.
5) read, write, watch, study more! Focus on the classics literary and film.
6) finances... Oh those darned things... Get them together look at my credit report, organise paperwork and actually work out what is going in and out not just hoping card works at the register. Start using YNAB.
7) eat healthier, fed the kids healthier. Get to grips with the slow cooker and less processed foods.
8) lose weight - my goal is 40lbs overall but it doesn't have to be within the year.
9) get a better more settled routine for us three including the days they spend with their dad.
10) make £5 a week in amazon/PayPal to go towards Christmas 2015
I'm sure there is more but that will do for now :-)0 -
My goals for 2015 are:
- lose weight (my target is 3 stone this year) and drop 2 dress sizes.
- become more active, I intend to walk a lot more
- use a spending diary, I want to reduce my monthly grocery spend
- no takeaways, they're always a disappointment and never as tasty as I thought they'd be
- stop stressing about the small things and worrying about things I know I shouldn't worry about so much, but do!0 -
My aims are
to get my business properly up and running and to have made a profit of £3000 by the end of the year.
to get to my target weight with a healthy diet and exercise regime
to look well-groomed and well-dressed
to use up some of my stash of fabric and crafting materials rather than adding to it
to reduce unnecessary spending and avoid wasting food and other items
to continue with my community/charity work but not let it take over my life ( I have to learn to say no)
to spend more time with friends and family and less time reading rubbish, watching rubbish and looking at rubbish on the internet
to get my flat to the way I want it - as far as funds allow
These are all things I could achieve if I put my mind to it - I want 2015 to be the year I stop procrastinating and get moving.0 -
Great thread. The two things I would like to do in 2015 are
- finally buy our own house.
- lose the rest of the weight I need to after a good start in 2014.The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
I've promised my wife to make no more fancy alterations to the home entertainment centre... so there's one. One year without tinkering...
Lose weight/eat healthier
Stop spending money on video games until I've played the ones I've got.0 -
Lovely thread..
I am just going to try really hard to be kind to other people.
Always been totally self absorbed
One simple , silly thing a day for 365 days..

*Get a job in my favoured area
*Save SOME money
*Spend more time together as a family, having fun
*Buy a new car, as ours are old
*Continue to have a happy marriage
*Lose a stone in weight,as it appears to have crept on over the past year
I think thats it!0
