I would definitely like to get on top of my finances a bit better this year, so my first goal is to put a small amount of money aside each month in savings.

I also need to cook healthier meals and vary what we eat a bit, as I seem to be doing the same old meals in rotation!

I would also like to find productive and enjoyable things to do each day, and if they can earn me a bit of cash so much the better.

Health issues are a bit more out of my control, so I won't make any goals as such, but there are a couple of things which would be great to get sorted.

Good luck to everybody doing this challenge :)
  • * Have a healthy baby

    * After having said baby, work on getting back into shape

    * Unpack all boxes in New house, sort each room

    * Sort name change on all documents

    * Continue to train dog to walk nicely on lead

    * Continue to budget and save monthly

    * Organise and meal plan each week

Happy New Year all :) x

Great thread :) I would like to:

    * Continue to lose weight, I lost 27lbs from Aug to Dec last year. I would like to lose 29lbs by July this year, making a 4stone loss in 12months. But that all depends on the next one...

    * Me and OH have decided to try for a baby :D, not actively trying yet, but not preventing from now on.

    * Find a way to get a better work life balance. I started a new job following redundancy last year, whilst I like the job it involves 11.5hr days, 1.5hrs of that is commuting. Not sure whether I want to change jobs again (especially due to the above!) or just try to make the most of it.

    * Move house to our first proper home together. This will help with the commute issue as will move slightly closer to work, cutting half hour off my commute time. Also will give us more space.

    * Save enough money to cover any potential maternity leave.

    * Have a holiday somewhere sunny!!
    * Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

    * Slimming World follower (I breastfeed so get 6 hex's!) *

I don't usually do this, but going for it this year:
1 - have a baby (or come to terms with it not being an option and move on)
2 - get more exercise - initially twice a week, maybe building up to more. Swimming and Pilates are what I'm going to start with.
3 - save £2000. We're hoping to go on a big holiday in 2016 so need to save as much as possible.
4 - meal plan and make meals from scratch a whole lot more than now, especially lunches
    5 - have 1-2 meat-free days a week
6 - read more books, watch more films - otherwise I'll spend every evening sat in front of the tv/pc
7 - clear out our junk room!

    5. Read a book a week

This has been a difficult Christmas as my husband told me a few weeks ago that he plans to move out in the New Year. It was a complete bolt from the blue, but we have been trying to have a 'normal' Christmas for the sake of DS who has been struggling and stressed out by first term at Uni.

So, my hope for next December is that, however things pan out over the next year, that I am still here in my beloved home, in a happier place emotionally, and that DS is also happy and successful.

If I could lose some weight and get a bit healthier (too much comfort eating lately) that would be a bonus.

    Cool idea. My list:
    1. find my soul mate (failing this, date more :))
    2. travel more
    3. read more
    4. continue yoga and go swimming and roller-blading more often
    5. revamp tired wardrobe
    6. take packed lunches to work and dine out less
    7. lose half a stone (this isn't that important but it would be nice)
    8. stop drinking coffee (I'm currently trying to reduce intake)
CC balance: £7445 | paid off so far: £355

    Fab thread. Mine are:

1 - Lose weight. I have 6 stone to lose but my first goal is 9lbs by end Jan for me to start a trial with the hospital and need my BMI to be .9% lower to get under their threshold.

2 - To have a take home rainbow baby. This is linked to point 1.

3 - To have my last credit card paid off.

4 - Do at least 5 boot sales to declutter and help achieve point 3.

5 - To keep my current car for at least 1 year. Have gone through 3 in 2014 so made this promise to my DH :-)

6 - To ignore hurtful people at work and separate my personal and work life.

    7 - To eat a kiwi every day (linked to points 1 & 2)

8 - To stick to WW for 1 year (linked to point 1)

Good luck to all of us x
