    101. Nail varnish binned as I hadn't used it in years. I only have one coloured one left, for now, it may go too.:D

    102. Hand towel to recycling.

    103. Another hand towel to recycling. We have four left which is enough for two of us.

    104. Something kitchen related is being returned to my mother-in-law today so out of the house.

    105. **** it, the other coloured nail varnish is gone. All I wear is clear anyway.:)

  • Time for me to jump in. I have been meaning to get on this thread for a long time and this is the year to get the house decluttered. I have made a decent start but it’s time to get focused now and get the place tidy. The plan initially is to do little and often and a drawer here a cupboard there. Wish me luck.

Whoops not checked back in for a couple of weeks!!
I have a day off next week and I am planning a tip and CS run with as much stuff as I can. Not lots of de-cluttering has been going on since I was last on but I have been keeping tidier by following the rule of - when I leave a room take something that shouldn't be in there and put it away.

Does de-cluttering my pinterest board count?? :rotfl: i'm working my way through it today so that i actually use what is on there!

I've been following you all on here but haven't had time to post. Reading what you've all been up to has been motivating me to keep on top of the clutter here.

I have done a lot of decluttering over the last 3-4 years but find that it is sooo easy for stuff to keep back in when we are busy juggling work/home life balance and everything that the kids do.

An unexpected day at home today (poorly kids) so thought I'd pop in to say hello.

Today I have been through one bathroom cupboard. I went through this only a few months ago so not that much to declutter but lovely to see it clean and tidy again. A good MSE exercise too as have found a couple of items needed for our holiday later this month, which I would otherwise have bought duplicates of.

    1. Old washbag - recycled
    2. Old moisturiser - emptied and recycled
    3. Yucky old earplug - binned
    4. Old toothbrush - to cleaning cupboard but one binned from there instead
    5. V. old lip balm - binned
    6. Contact lens box - recycled
    7. Broken make up powder - binned

3 other items move back to their proper homes too. Found a lovely expensive hand scrub which I'd forgotten about so have given my hand a bit of TLC with that followed by a nice handcream - think my hands like decluttering - they feel and smell lovely!

Bin emptied and towels washed. Bathroom looking lovely :T

    9. Old paper bits - recycled
    10. Brochure not required - recycled

Lampshades which were falling apart have now been replaced with smarter one's. Feel a bit 'light' handed now.

    Still trying;
    6. A bottle of screenwash I couldnt fit under the sink. Declutrered into the car.
7.a wicker tray came with some nuts in at xmas. CS.
    8. A fluffy bedjacket (I have another) CS.
    9. A pair of jeans, just not flattering on me. Cs.

Thats 3 a day this month so far. Am trying to aim for 100 items in Feb but it's hard! Working full time and health problems doesnt help. Im focusing on putting an item in the C S bag before I go to work, again when I come in, and at bedtime so it's only one at a time IYSWIM. :)

Really pleased today as have got rid of my overlocker - I just never used it and it was taking up much needed cupboard space so it's gone along with 8 big reels of thread, the tools, instruction manual and 2 books. Earned £105 for it so nice to have money coming in for once instead of paying out!
