2015 - No Clutter To Be Seen

81. I cleaned the shelves of the kitchen cupboards and found a money off wine voucher which went into the recycling.
It's weird as I don't have any tinned food left as I'm trying to only buy what I eat each week so the cupboard, well it doesn't look bare, but it looks quite empty.
82. I tossed an old blender jug that I had forgotten at the back of the cupboard as I don't have the blender any more.
83. I put some water into the end of a coconut shower gel to make some bubble bath for my bath tonight.
84. Instruction manual put into recycling.
85. I'm going to the local shop to buy some sugar so I will take some of my stash of 5ps to use up.HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

The de-cluttering effort has moved to garage for the last few days. The house has had regular declutters over the last few years, but the garage has not been properly looked at for years.

All 6 files emptied, everything put back in order, which created a black sack full of shredding to be taken to a friend for his ferrets bedding. I know we're supposed to keep certain paperwork for 7 years but some was dating back to 2004!
Pets cupboard cleared out, some tins they won't eat, fussy beggars, will be put in the food bank basket at the local sm.
A rather heat-buckled frying pan in the bin. No idea why I'd kept it for so long, it wasn't even non-stick any more and bought a new one to replace it ages ago.0 -
This morning I had a mini-breakdown at the state of this house :eek:.I was soooo stresssed, was shouting around the place, and could not stop crying/ranting
.
As you know,we are in the process of decorating 3 bedrooms,re-arranging children between those rooms, and OH and I will be moving into the front room.It has been going on since Dec 27th.Bah humbug.
Anyway, the first two rooms have been painted and carpetted, but 4 children have been sleeping in one room while we declutter toys, clothes, etc. But the children aren't sleeping well, they are talking and messing around way past lights out, everyone is grumpy and refusing to get ready for school in the morning........
Also, the whole house is a dumping ground, with boxes of stuff waiting to move into it's new room, bags of stuff waiting to be sorted, piles of stuff waiting to be put away.Aaaarrrggggghhhhhhhh :eek:.There is literally stuff all over the house : our 7-seater sofa seats 1,we have a double mattress standing up in the doorway of the kitchen because there is no room for it in the front room, got bags,boxes,clothes,toys............
So,after my little crisis this morning,I was determined that by the end of the day at least our eldest will have moved into her "new" room.So we went out to look for storage for her.Bought her an Expedit unit (not called that now-can't remember it's new name),and tonight she has emptied alot of the plastic storage boxes that were sitting around the house, into the wicker baskets we bought to fit into it.Tomorrow I will assemble the frame and her room will be completed.
So,have not decluttered anything that I would count on my list, but bags and bags of rubbish have been leaving the house.
Actually, there was one toy castle that I had been going to gather all the tiny bits and figures for,but after it kicking around the floor of the room my DD was moving into,I got sick of it,and just chucked it,so

Hope you are feeling better now and that you get a good night's sleep.
Well done on being so determined that you went out and got the storage that was needed. Nice to hear that your daughter is helping to sort things too. It does seem to be catching.
