    Rampant Recycler Debt-free and Proud!
    Hiya everyone

I have tidied the shelf under the other table in the sitting room, filed what I want to keep and recycled the rest.

Three more books in the bag for the cs, together with a coat I never wear and some excess kitchen sieves.

All the newspapers, magazines and advertising leaflets in the house, except today's newspaper, bagged for recycling.

I'm not counting recycling, as I do that all the time, so just seven items to add.

Hope you all have a fantastic Friday

Having rolled up everything in my clothing drawers I opened the airing cupboard where the towel monsters live.

It was quite tidy as we went through it a few months ago. But, with only two people in the house, why do I need sooooooo many?

I asked DH who suggested we got rid of the "shabby ones"

    Shabby??? :eek::eek:

Turns out he doesn't like the bright pink ones as he hates the colour. He also thinks hand towels are a "waste of time."

13 towels on their way to recycling. Easy!

We have 11 bath or 'beach' size towels plus two pairs of hand towels should we have visitors.

Off to do some more rolling

Also - one cardigan I don't want to iron and don't like any way into recycling
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

    71. I just had a frustrating time rearranging my chests of drawers as I wanted to move the small chest of drawers into the office and I didn't find one thing to declutter apart from an old tube of toothpaste.

    72. Bins emptied and all old letters, flyers and takeaway menus into recycling bin.

    73. Old rags used up to clean surfaces the cats use for food and cat litter tray so the rags were binned afterwards.

Morning all - thanks to everyone re specs, going to drop 5 pairs off at local specsavers, hockey stick in CS bag along with hearth set (weighs a ton!) Spent the weekend away at a friend's who has recently moved - house was perfect and no need for Kondo there. Must admit to opening a couple of cupboards to see if they were overflowing (they were not)and everything pristine. Had a great time and came home and back to the junkyard - bit disheartened but now have bit between my teeth so yesterday -
    23. Knitting basket sorted and ten balls of wool in charity bag
    24. bag of paperwork shredded and out to recycle
    25. two tee shirts made into cloths as ripped
    26. LO gammon decluttered into jacket potatoes with cheese
    27. 4 jam jars washed and recycled

Have a clutter free day everyone

Yeah! I think I've finally finished decluttering the bathroom :j 6 more out of date/ unusable toiletries have been thrown away.

I've also had a brief tidy up, rehoming items : so literally decluttering rather than actually throwing things away. Although 2 craft items, which were free with card making magazine, but which I won't use, have been added to the CS pile.

I'm now at about 38 items - not bad for a couple of days work :D What has been interesting is the effect this is having on DH. He says he wants to join in and do some decluttering at the weekend too :T
